I guess we are just so informed here

Even the Chanel counter was uninformed & dirty. Seriously, I think it was Bio-hazard day at Nordstrom. The new Chanel display had greasy fingerprints & serious goo all over it. I wanted to whip out a pair of yellow rubber gloves

But, yeah it is so hard to understand not knowing anything about the products available for the company that you work for.

I always talk to customers at the counters that need help or look puzzled.

i am really nervous for the online launch of this product...it would be so frustrating if the website crashed or something...is everyone else this nervous or do i need psychiatric evaluation?

so far my list hasn't changed in the past two days, so I think I'm ready.

I'm nervous too. I'll be at work when it's said to be put on the website, so I just hope that I can order in time to get my stuff. I don't want to deal with in-store buying after hunting down Marine Life and Stereorose.

I'm gonna have to carry my iPad around with me Monday because of course, someone decides they want to hang out that day. All I want to do is secure bite of an apple. The nail lacquers I can take a chance on getting Thursday since my store takes a few days to sell out on anything. I also have a cp to fulfill so I'm feeling some pressure.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I am searching for a new job but it looks like no one is paying much it seems. It's ridiculous what some of these companies say the hourly pay is in the ad! It's almost a crime!

Sneak Peek - OPI Holiday 2010 Burlesque Collection | Lipglossiping

The one called "The show must go on" is said to be a dupe

Also I have to say that I think $3 is more then I'd like to spend on something so if I can save for dupes then I'm going for it. That $3 you save on 3 polishes is almost $10 more and could be used for something else...or saved. Since I was unemployed so long and not having hardly any money I've really had to cut down. I've always been a person that tries to get the best deal though like I dont buy the name brand can of corn or tomatoes.....I get the Walmart brand or store brand. Even if I had more money and became like the Housewives of O.C I'd still shop the same way.

Now though when I think about what I've spent on MAC I cringe somewhat because I thought I spent alot at the drugstore a few years ago on makeup
tong.gif
. Only difference now is I can warrant it because I wasted so much money on stuff that had no pay off from the drugstore....either colors looked bad on me or the pigmentation was awful or didnt last wear wise.

I hope soon I get into a better situation where I can feel more comfortable with my life and not have to worry about finances as much

Yea the state of the world economy really scares me...there's so many people in 2nd and 3rd world countries who work so much harder than me but can't have nearly as nice things as i have, just because they were born in a different place...

i work in financial consulting and lately my clients have not been wanting to pay as much as they have paid in the past for the same services..so a lot of our projects actually lose money for us. i make pretty good money, but i also work 60-70 hours a week, on top of studying for exams. salaries have pretty much been suppressed for the last couple years or so... i guess it's only fair because i'm sure consultants in other countries don't get paid as much as the ones in the US so there's no reason for us to get paid so much, but it still sucks for the US industry

it's scary but i am almost expecting really hard times to come in the future..

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Yeah and they say the recession is "over"??? Far from it. The Unemployment rate is higher in some states or the same as this time last year. I couldnt work 60-70 hrs if I wanted to......for one they hired too many people recently so now any extra hours that were available are few and far between. Secondly it took me 1 yr to get the job I have which is unbelievable considering how man resumes I sent out in that time frame
ssad.gif
. I wouldnt mind be a kid these days so I wouldnt have to worry so to speak about this stuff.

Yea I think people who don't worry about their financial statuses are a thing of the past...The world economy has gotten so competitive that you really have to be outstanding to get noticed...and even then you still may be asked to work for cheap. when i have kids i am going to make sure they know about this asap so they can make themselves as outstanding as possible while they are still young...my cousin lived in china until last year and he said that all through grade school, high school, and college, he went to school for 7 days a week! one of my friends came back from india this weekend and he said that in india everyone had a master's degree...it sucks to think that we are competing against these machine-people for jobs...

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I went to the MAC Pro in Dallas and checked out the collection.

These things were OOS:
Innocence, Beware!
Devilishly Stylish
All 3 N/Ps
Vile Violet

The MA said they would be restocked, since they released the collection a week early.

Swatched BoA, very similar to Marine Life but more red, to some people that would make a world of difference but for me not so much, it'd look the same on my skintone, even if it didn't, I'd think it looked the same.

Revenge is Sweet was the one I debated about. I liked that it was jelly and the color was totally me, I'd wear it alone for subtle pinky fuschia color. But it was sticky on my hand and I didn't dare to try it on my lips, I might go back and get this on Thursday.

My general opinion of this collection is that nothing will go out as quickly as Marine Life or Stereo Rose. I think I expected BoA to be the next "it" thing but I'm not so sure. I feel like a lot of the general public will go for the nudes because they are afraid of color, hence Innocence Beware being so popular.

The only thing I ended up getting was Heartless lipstick! It was everything I wanted it to be. I would say definitely a cherry red on my lips. I am in love, I put it on in the restroom in the mall straight after I checked out.

Good luck tomorrow night gals! Hope you get what you want, I think you will

Maybe that reflects your inner fears what the new magically cool liquid powder will be like?

Btw, I talked to my favorite MA (she's back yay!) and she told VV should be out October 1st, so next friday!

I guess that liquid was just too cool for me
lol.gif
The good part in my dream was that Stockmann had a this brand new floor for cosmetics and the roof was made of glass so the lighting was amazing. That'll never happen for real but I was in makeup heaven (until the liquid part started).

Yay! I managed to arrange a visit to Helsinki next weekend so I should be there next Friday!

wait, now that i think about it...i think the only matte blush from mac that i use regularly is emote...and it's hard to get a lot of color on the brush (thank goodness, b/c that thing is super dark)...are all mac matte blushes like this? if so, that would be amazing, because i have had emote since jan of 09 and have used it every single day and have barely made a dent in it....i want my BoA to last forever if i get one

i actually meant to mention this sooner on the chanel forums....i've actually never been able to log into chanel with my username and password...i've always had to go to the "forgot password" screen every single time... when the khaki nps came out and you had to try to get on the site over and over again with your cache erased i had to go to the "forgot password" screen every single time i tried to check out...i must have had 30 password assistance emails from chanel that day...

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

so after cancelling my online order two days ago from Pro because they couldnt authorize my card. I tried once again today and ordered Formidable, Bad Fairy, Mean and Green and Push the edge. Guess what still no credit card authorization. I guess Im just going to let it go and see if its billed when its shipped or something like that. Thursday Im going to pick up my stuff I have on hold at Macys I didnt dare order that online because of the order descrepencies not to mention my bank gives me 6pts for every dollar I spend in macys so extra bonus points means more points to redeem for gift cards.

Haha it is weird that the thought of rubbed blueberries/wine on my face appeals to me??? I wish they made a blush like that. hahaha I remember I watched some movie where someone kidnapped this young girl and smeared strawberries on her lips and cheeks to make her more attractive for the suitor he wanted to sell her to.

I don't know of any from the MAC line that's out currently but I remember I always seen a similar shade of coral at shoppers. This type of color seems pretty common to me.

Don't have Instant Chic but BOA is not similar to Marine Life at all imo. BOA is more of a rosy apple color with a completely different finish.

I haven't seen that one but I love Revlon's lustrous glosses, so moisturizing without being sticky. I still need to remind myself that there are great drugstore products.

The 187 works well. I like to pack a punch with it and then blend blend blend the edges.
