I just got home from work and had my black box waiting for me, so excited! I only got to play with everything a little bit since I have to go pick up my sis in a few minutes, but just from swatching a little I love, love hothouse and wicked ways.
I did a little comparing and just going by swatching on my hand, coral polyp is very close to toxic tale and kanga rouge is very close to heartless. I'll have to actually try them on when i get home later.

I hear you about the ipad...same here, especially when I'm on specktra. And, my fingers hit all kinda things, & that blue screening you get when trying to scroll

But I still love it. Its perfect to take to bed

Got my goodies as well! Darkly My Dear is sooo gorgeous!! I love it. It will make a great contour or blush. And I'm so happy I decided to get Briar Rose... It's the color I wanted Azalea Blossom to be... and not as cool. It's very purple-ish on me which I've been looking for in a blush. Dark Deed is pretty but I'm gonna have to get used to such a dark lip.

Toxic Tale....not sure about this one. It's gorg in the tube but looks very orange on me

I'll have to see if I can make it work. Ha. Innocence Beware is nice... it's like the nuder version of Strange Potion that I was looking for. I've had Bad Fairy on for about a week and it's worn very nicely so I'm gonna take it off and try out Mean & Green. Her Own Devices is still pretty... but haven't played with it yet. Vainglorious... I'm hoping to try this on my eyes soon.

Now, for my wallet's sake, I hope I am done. But I may want to check out a few more lipglasses

the thought of reading this threat makes me (and my wallet) have a panic attack.

sooo i'm just popping in to share my haul:

both MES, heartless, french quarter, and hot house from the mac website

bite of an apple, briar rose, oh so fair, wicked ways, strange potion, toxic tale, and revenge is sweet from my nordies

i'm trying to resist adding on sinister and dark deeds. i will probably stop by my counter sometime tomorrow to try them out if they're still there.

i'd also like to share my nordies phone number with you guys - they are accepting 'pre-order' for this collection. basically the counter (not the customer service dept - so no screw ups like with stereo rose) pulls your items and you pay for 'em over the phone. they will ship to you. the catch is that you can't get them until october 17, when they have their trend show. BUT, they are giving people a free mini pigment set (i was told it's samples of the most popular pigments) as a thank you for waiting.

i went with this option instead of running around all over chicagoland - i'd rather wait and know my items are going to be here, rather than freak out on launch day.

anyway, the number is (630) 571-2121. that's to nordstrom oakbrook; ask for the mac counter. (my girl is abby, if you want to put your order in under her - she's not there right now, but she's super sweet, and i'd love for her to get credit!)

Friday is the big day here!

Has anyone with a very fair skintone tried Darkly My Dear and Her Own Devices? Katred I remember you saying they didn't go well with your colouring, so I was wondering has anyone else tried them (and loved them?)? On that one video DMD was compared to Prim&Proper - any thoughts on that?

Edit: I just noticed Mygreatlove is happy with DMD! Is it rosey/plummy on you or more brown?

I'm all chipper to go to the store tomorrow morning. At least I have plenty to do to keep me busy until then. It's going to be my biggest Mac haul ever in one go. Odd how I was never really into blushes until a few months ago and tomorrow I'll nearly double my cheek products!

I think I would be upset if some of the items I preordered two weeks in advance weren't there. I'd understand if there wasn't enough stock to fill the OSF I added yesterday, but I was likely one of the first people at that counter to place an order since I did it the very day they started getting stock in.

I'd be bummed if I couldn't get my BoA, Truth & Light, My Dark Magic, and Formidable (then again, I could always do Galaxy Girl). Not so upset if I couldn't get Briar Rose, Devilishly Stylish, or OSF.........

............Oh yes I would! >.< I'm lying to myself! I would be totally bummed. I'd get over it, but I'd be bummed.

so i just got an email from mac letting me know that the collection is available for purchase. It also comes with a disclaimer that due to the popularity of the collection some items are already sold out. If it wasn't for u girls here on specktra id be one of the unlucky girls just gettin this email and it was my only notification that the collection was avail online. Id be soo pissed. I'm soo greatful to you all for being so knowledgeable and soo helpful!

I told him I'm gonna make my makeup junkie sister smack him for me.

It's a kind of weird Zen feeling - my lovely MA showed me everything and took down my order a week and a half ago, since I was going to be out of town. Maybe something will get borked and it will disappear in a puff of smoke, but I'm just putting it out there that everything will go smoothly.

Can't wait for some Toxic Tale & BoA!
