Oh Crap!
Hearing that the e/s are like the Matte2 ones means the three LE ones are back on my list. And Blissed Out n/p has jumped onto the list too. AARRGGHH!

This is my list:

-the 3 LE e/s
-By Candlelight MSF
-Blissed out n/p
-3 shadesticks (all but Relaxed - the darkest brown one)
-Warm Me Up l/s
-one TLC (whichever one is pinker)

Total=$160.50 (if I did the math right without a calculator)

Please Santa, bring me some gift cards!

So thankful to Karla for the swatches! I was mostly after Comfort msf but it reminds me of Enough Said, i.e. browner than the peachy I expected. I'll have to bring ES with me to swatch before deciding. On the other hand, By Candlelight is looking like what I wanted Glissade to be!

I hope to b2m for one shadow... I hope Chamomille isn't too much like Modest Tone. It should be warmer right?

One of my friends said that she found her shadesticks to be quite hard, and dragging on her eyes, so I've avoided them since then, but these are lovely colours. I'm not sure where my nearest CCO is (I'm in the UK), I googled for ones in the Midlands but nothing came up, LOL, I know there's the MacArthur Glen outlet near Mansfield but not sure if that stocks MAC and don't wanna go all the way there for that if there isn't any.

Why? Do they crease like some NYX Pencils? Or are they too dry???

I swatched the blue GPS at a counter , and it was so damn dry I had to keep rubbing it on my hand for it to show!

they don't crease they are just quite dry so can tug on the eye a little. some people rub them in their hands to warm up the product but i don't want to mess about like that!

Shadesticks are so tricky...u either get a good one or a dud. I have some from before they got dc'd (royal hue, lucky green...) and they are smooth once it warms up. Then I get the ultimate dud (overcast!) which tugs at my lids and comes out all funky..
thmbdn.gif
when I swatched these it was pretty smooth kinda like the greasepaint stick...definately much creamier! Thank you MAC for changing the formula!

When I went to give my MA my pre-order list for this collection I noticed she had written in her update book that the formula had changed on these shadesticks. She wrote they were creamier and easier to blend. It was because of that note that I decided to give a couple of these a try.
My list :
Chamomille, Modelette, and Mulled Cider
Warm me up l/s
Both lip conditioners
Relaxed and Warm and Cozy Shadesticks
Comfort MSF

Maybe List :
Spiced Tea l/s
2n
Light That Fire

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good really dark brown shadow. I don't have one, but I haven't been impressed by Embark so far.

For dark brown, I personally like Mulch and it works great, but I am not sure if that is dark/deep enough for what you are looking for. I also LOVE the two darkest colours in the Smoke & Mirrors palette. I still look for dark brown e/s' continuously and was/am hoping Embark is one of them

I am so looking forward to this collection especially chamomile e/s, by candlelight MSF, and Warm me Up lipstick.

TeresitaMC, I too was hoping Embark would be a great dark brown, but all the reviews say it isn't a great shadow.

I guess it is chalky. I have been considering Espresso and Handwritten. I will have to check out Mulch.

I love Embark. Use it for eyebrows BUT Handwritten is good matte2 texture. The texture is soft and more blendable than embark. Handwritten to me is beautiful neutral brown, not be warm not to cool.

HTH.

My funnest years we're definitely in my mid 20's, but so far my most content and secure years have been in my 30's.

Thanks so much for your lovely words... I had such a difficult day yesterday and such an stressing morning that they lift me up.

I think because I started working in elderly care (nursing homes, etc.) when I was 20, I early got a different perspective on the concept of "old". I'd be at work, taking care of people who were 84, 93, 79, who had children and grandchildren and great grandchildren... and then go for drinks with a friend who was freaking out because she was going to turn 22 and therefore felt "old". It just felt sort of silly to me, describing someone of 22 as old when I had met a woman the same day who was so happy because she was attending her daughter's 70th birthday.

Thanks!! Not that I want to bring back the age issue but... haven't you found elders with such a youthful way to be??? I've met a couple and have learned so much about youth!!!

Now to the W&C topic. I've just saw the swatches!!! KarlaSugar you're awesome!!

So here's my gigantic wishlist

DEFINITELY try Handwritten- it is, afaik, the darkest brown in the perm line, and it blends like a dream! I find it to work well with tons of different looks. I also love Mulch- I love pairing it with Naked Lunch- but for the crease, my personal preference is a matte as the no-shine finish helps create depth and a nice carved out crease.

As for this collection: I have to say, the only potentials on my list are:
-By Candlelight MSF
-Chamomile e/s
-Modelette e/s

...I'm debating if these colors are even that unique, but I think that will be determined when I see it in person. Like, is Modelette close enough to Soba or Tete-a-Tint that I won't need it? And is Chamomile just another highlight color?
th_dunno.gif
And do I really need any more MSFs?

I really like shadesticks! They are so nice to use if you need a stickier base than for example a paint. Not all of them are super easy to use though, like Silver Blu - such a gorgeous colour, but so hard to apply evenly!
I'll probably get Cuddle and maybe Relaxed from this collection. I was curious about Warm&Cozy, but I was expecting it to be more red based on the description. Of course I'll have to see everything in person before buying anything!

This is such a pretty collectio!

Do you guys think the girl from the promo is using Sis lipstick? I love the color she has!! and the color on her cheeks. Makes me think it can be comfort mineralize skinsfinish???

Also, does someone know if Comfort MSF is too shiny? I got Shimpagne and did not like, it enhanced my pores.. comfort does not like it has a lot of shimmer on certain pictures..
