Oh no! We'll get through this together, babe. I hope things will work out well for you in the end.

The duration of my relationship was only half as long as yours, and it already hurt so bad to end it. I don't know what's up with me now, one moment I feel strong and fine, and the next moment I'm so overwhelmed with regret, grief, and yearning that I'll cry. It's a weird feeling.

My school term starts on Monday, I'm so looking forward to burying myself with work so that I won't have time to think of anything else. Hopefully that will work, because I sure as hell don't want my grades to suffer.


Back on topic, I saw this collection today and came home with By Candlelight MSF, Chamomile e/s, and Modelette e/s. I also liked Nurture s/s, Comfort MSF, Mulled Cidar e/s, and Dim The Lights n/l, but I don't know if I should go back for all of them, been spending way too much money lately. I might B2M for Spiced Tea lipstick too. Relaxed s/s is really nice and smooth, but it's not a color that I would use often, so I'm going to pass it for sure; but I can definitely understand why people are raving about it. Lipglosses were nice too, 4N and Light That Fire were my faves, but I'm going to resist them because I hardly use l/g. Overall I think this collection is lovely, it consists of very nice neutral shades that I can add to my collection (which is seriously lacking in neutrals). Sorry I can't sound any more excited, but I really do think the shades are lovely, especially the e/s.

About this collection, I cannot decide with the shadesticks! Has anybody swatched Constructivist p/p with Relaxed s/s? How close are they? How about Lemon Chiffon s/s with Cuddle s/s?

Has anybody got the nailpolishes, I haven't noticed much talk about them? Is the quality still the same old?

I am trying to make an e/s quad with colors similar to the e/s in this collection. I have Embark and I was thinking of using Tete a Tint. Any other suggestions?

Winnie and Teresita, I am sorry to hear that the new year is off to such a lousy and painful start. It will get better. Winnie, I am so proud of the courage it took for you to realize what is best for you and make that step. I wish I had been that brave when I was your age. It would have saved me a lot of heartache.

Back on topic: for all of you s/s enablers, I went back and picked up Nurture and Warm and Cozy (I already have Cuddle). Now you have me lemming Relaxed. I love a quick neutral eye for the daytime (I work in a hospital/clinic). Would this help me do that?

And though I swore no more backups on anything I may have to break that and back up By Candlelight. LOVE IT!! I also love Feeling Good TLC and the new mineralize lotion,

I tried them on. You will need at least 2 coats with the nail polishes, slightly streaky but not that bad. Blissed Out was kinda sheer though, with one coat on the color was not very apparent.

oooh nice suprise, i went to my mac store yesterday, warm and cozy and love lace were out! i got by candlelight, warm me up l/s, feeling good tlc, and i was a bit disapointed by chamomile so i bought vanilla pigment, seeing as they are changing the sizes soon. i also got icescape l/g from lovel lace, but it was a close call between that and feelin' dreamy

hi ladies,
i'm fairly new to the Specktra community, but a long-time MAC user. i usually lurk here but had to post after getting my mini-haul today for this collection.

after thoroughly reading this thread and narrowing down to what i wanted

BTW), i decided to use my x-mas GC. i had wanted to get Chamomile and the By Candelight MSF after hearing all the rave on this board. i'm an NC35 for ref. anyways, the MA who helped me actually dissuaded me from getting By Candlelight claiming "the MSF should be darker than your skin color and this won't show up on you." little did she know, i was considering it for a highlighter shade. so, after that advice, i was put off by her from the start. she recommended Comfort and i asked her if it was much like So Ceylon which i already have. she looked at me and asked "what is that?" i had to tell her it's an old MSF from MAC which i assumed she would know since it was one of the first popular shades. (that told me how helpful she would be

).

moving on, i checked out the blushes and she tested Gentle on me. for some reason, she packed it on one cheek and i looked at the mirror in semi-horror since it looked like i had a rash. i tried to rub some off and it just made it look worse. i gave up on this MA who apparently didn't know what she was doing and was giving me totally wrong advice (though i heard Gentle is a great shade if put on w/ a "light hand")

after a few more questions which still left me more put off by her answers, i decided to go w/ my gut and ended up with: Chamomile, Mulled Cider, Sketch (which i'd been dying for), and my standard Viva Glam V.

as for the MA, i tried to be nice to her and thanked her and she just looked at me blankly. i left content but also ticked that i didn't get the By Candlelight and looking like i had a "rash" on my face. thank goodness i was heading home!

^That's terrible!! The MA at your MAC store should've been more friendly and helpful. By Candlelight would be a great highlight for your skin and I hope you do get By Candlelight soon.
