MAC Warm & Cozy Collection

[Funtabulous]

So I decided to pick up By Candlelight and I LOVE it! I used it on my cheeks today with margin blush and I got a lot of compliments on how nice my skin looked, and how I was 'radiant'.

That's all I got from this collection though, nothing else really grabbed me, all very neutral and I am covered for that for now.

I am getting a backup of 3N. I told myself, No-backups this year but :no:, I have to have it. I should've just ordered it before new years, and would've spared myself the grief.

It sounds like lots of people haven't been having a good start to 2010...

I went into my MAC today, W&C isn't launching here until next Monday but my fave MA got everything out for me to look at. Everything is so pretty, I love the way the collection looks as a whole, but seeing it in person I didn't really feel that things were as unique as I hoped they would be. Also, it doesn't look like we're getting the shadesticks here which is so lame. My list is very short without them!

I haven't hauled much since Colour Craft because I'm back to being a poor university student. I even skipped out on Style Black...agghhh

Anyways, I checked out the W&C collection a few days ago after drooling about it for weeks. Warm neutrals? Sign me up!
After seeing the collection in person I chose not to go with any of the e/s and shadesticks...the e/s reminded me of things I already have in my stash and I rarely ever use the shadesticks I bought from Sugarsweet. The MSFs were pretty but I decided to pass for now. I might try out Comfort later.

I only picked up Warm Me Up l/s and 2N l/g which I layer together. HOLY EFF HG nude-coral-pink lip! Not too bright, not too pale; just a wonderful fleshy peach-pink. Absolutely perfect. I am already thinking of stocking up and/or finding dupes.

they're just not a very unique product IMO, they can be dry, they aren't guaranteed to not crease, so a Drugstore alternative wouldn't be much worse.

I finally got to find a backup of W&C shadestick. I love that color. But, I also found that Chanel came out with a new eyeshadow called Trace - gorgeous color! It's similar in color but smooooth great consistency.

Also, I got to see mostly all of the Lilyland collection in person! I will go find that thread.

I have yet to see the new Chanel m/u as I've been told the earliest we'll get it here is mid Jan. Poo again! But I've been super good with my MAC/make-up habit lately. Haven't bought anything in about two months now! I received one MAC gift card over the holidays, which will be my MAC budget for the entire year and one g/c for the kaska beige quad!

I'm planning on getting Warm Me Up l/s from this collection. I saw it in person but didn't have my g/c on hand. It's gorgeous, and the amplified cremes are a great formula imo.

So that's about all. A quick update from a recovering MAC addict!

Wow, you've been good. I haven't really bought that much lately

....well, ok more like ---->

until I saw the new Chanel. I just bought the Kaska quad yesterday!!! I liked Adina's swatches, then I really liked the swatches in person, but I LOVE the colors on a lot!!! But, I am a neutral/smokey eye girl. The consistency is soooo dreamy & the colors are very rich.

We're babysitting our grand-puppy this week

Our son & daughter in law are leaving for Paris tonight

I asked if I could go too
