MAC Warm & Cozy Collection

The mineralized lotion is fantastic! I tried it all over my body and it felt great, light but at the same time it really hydrated my skin, lovely feeling. Then I mixed it with my liquid foundation and I liked the results!

Was it going to be permanent or just limited edition? It's crazy expensive here (36 € for 100 ml!), but still I want more of it. It would be good if it's going to be permanent so I don't have to rush and buy backups. I like the small tube, it's perfect size for travelling too.

I'm here but I am trying to nurse away this monster headache/sinus infection I have had for over a week now.

I have been using my sample of the mineralize lotion for the last week and I really like it. It gives such a healthy glow to my skin. I have only been using it during the day and my normal moisturizer at night.

I wore By Candlelight MSF today and I got lots of compliments. People told me my skin looked glowing which I thought was sweet. I just wish it had a tad less shimmer.

It makes me sad that there isn't too much excitement over collections anymore. I am not really to sure why!

I have been wondering too, where all the regulars went lately. Is everyone sick of MAC right now or something?
th_dunno.gif
I know that I had been kinda busy this fall, now I'm starting to free up a little more time and get excited for upcoming collections. But also there's not really many solid collections like BBR from last year to keep everyone interested- the collections are just so-so in my opinion, so that may explain some of the less enthusiasm.

Ahhhh, should I get By Candlelight?
=P Can I only use it as a highlighter? I don't know my skin shade...
What are you all using it for and where?

Cheeks? below cheeks? all over? TIA!

I have used By Candlelight as a highlighter and also as an eye shadow. I was running late the other morning and put it all over my lid with a little satin taupe in the crease and some blacktrack liner and I though it looked really pretty.

Frankly though it isn't my most favorite MSF ever. I find that I have to use a really light hand when using it as a highlighter as it can look too shimmery on me.

I agree, it's not my very favorite either. I actually prefer the look of Shimpagne MSF on me, but By Candlelight is nice and smooth. But I will deffo try the e/s thing sometime!

ok, so i thought i'd give my take on what i bought from this collection (yup, only 2 things!):

Chamomile e/s- after a few uses, i found this to not really show up on my browbone. i think it may be b/c i have a yellow tone and the color itself has yellow in it, but i was pretty disappointed.
ssad.gif
i had heard it was very pigmented and i did use my TFSI. does anyone think this would be a decent dupe for Brule/Bisque? i originally wanted one of those which i've had in the past but remember it was more pigmented IMO. oh well. i'm still gonna try other looks with it to see if there's any difference.

Mulled Cider e/s- i'm in love w/ this color! it's so subtle and sophisticated and looks great! it's like a plummy mid-tone brown on me and i actually like it all over the lid w/ Shroom or Chamomile as a highlight. i tried to copy one of the MAC looks using Parfait Amour on the inner crease and outer and the combo was amazing! a nice pop of purple w/ a neutral brown.

i'm really considering Modelette but fear it also may not show up on my lids. i think i might pass on By Candlelight

and wait for better MSF's that may come out in the future and check out a CCO. i guess it's easier to have restraint when u run out of money! LOL

I hope you feel better today!

We are still waiting for this collection here. Once more most of you have your products, can play with them, be critical. These stupid release delays!!

MAC is releasing a lot of neutral collections at the moment, they don't catch my excitement

I really look forward to Spring Colour Forecast colletion and all the summer collections again!! Yay!

I think there is not a lot of posting going on because Specktra has been running painfully slow lately... its horrible waiting for pages to load. Well, thats why I've turned into a silent lurker the past couple of weeks

I think I will pass on By Candlelight then *gasp!* It would be my first MSF so I haven't really learned what I want out of an MSF yet
ssad.gif
Therefore I would kind of be buying blindly
smiles.gif

I was in love with Chamomile but now wondering if it's close to my UD Foxy e/s? Though I bet Chamomile has way more payoff (I hope). Anyone have both that can compare?

Yay! That's good to know as I suggested this to someone on a previous page the other day, with a "?" since I don't even own it

I suppose most people use MSFs as either highlighters or as a blusher/bronzer. I usually use mine to layer over blushers for that extra pop. On days when I don't want much color on my cheeks, then I'll use them as blushes, because I find that MSFs aren't as pigmented as regular blush. The finish of a MSF also makes a huge difference - some just give off a nice sheen/glow (e.g. the Sugarsweet MSFs
heart.gif
), some appear metallic (IMO, Blonde is very metallic looking), some are glittery, and and some are pretty much matte (e.g. Sunny By Nature).
