I still haven't gone to sleep yet. I've been up since stalking last night. Why am I still awake? Wait, I remember now. Silly me.

I thought non pro members have had free shipping for awhile now though? At least a couple of months
I was going to mention that. This isn't new as of late. MAC at some point changed it to free shipping with no codes needed for non-pro customers. Pros already get a pretty generous discount on most of their purchases so maybe MAC looks at it as tossing the non-pros a bone? True, pros pay a membership fee but they definitely recoup that fee quickly with the discount they get. Not saying that pros should have to pay shipping BUT consider the fact that under normal circumstances pros get more product for their dollar (and likely order more in one sitting than the average customer...or more overall if not at one time).

As far as the other person saying pros should get access first because they are pros...why should they when this isn't a pro item? If MAC still kept all pro items on the pro site only this wouldn't have been on there as it's LE, not pro. It's almost like saying that the regular customer is unimportant...the women that buy the makeup to wear and don't actually earn an income using the makeup and can't use it as a tax deduction don't matter as much because they aren't pros. Seems a little elitist when we're talking about a tweaked version of a red lipstick that just so happens to have RiRi's name attached to it. I say all of this as a pro member of several other brands (only reason I'm not a MAC Pro yet is because I stopped using the brand for awhile so the annual fee wasn't worth it when I was barely buying new items to replenish what I have in my kit. In the process of reinstating my membership though). As great as it is to get discounts and sometimes access to product before the general public I don't feel like I am wronged if sometimes it just doesn't work out like that. If it weren't for regular ladies loving makeup as much as the pros then the pros wouldn't have the customer base that they have (meaning customers that aren't related to theater, magazines, movies). Just my long winded 2 cents

Lol, I think you guys are missing the point. HOB got it. The point was... pros shouldn't have had to pay for shipping in addition to paying full price for the item. Since we paid the same amount for the lipstick as non pros, we should have had the items shipped for free, as is standard for non pros. Otherwise it's punitive. MAC agrees. It was an oversight on their part. My shipping has been refunded.

Glad they refunded it. I agree that ya'll shouldn't pay shipping on items you can't get your discount on and have to purchase at regular price like no pros. Probably just the way they system sees it and someone has to go in an correct the error. No harm no foul.

I paid the $5 shipping for my first order. I'm not concerned. I was willing to pay the full $15 instead of waiting a month to use my discount, i can handle the $5 extra.

The customer service person was confused... and then surprised that it was even the case. It looks like it's just an oversight. They're not going to change anything across the board, but apparently if you call and request the refund, they don't mind at all.

No matter the cost of shipping... if I don't have to pay for it, I'm not paying for it.

I never pay more for ANYTHING than I have to. Let them exceed their profit margins at the expense of someone else.

Lol I was ab to say that too ab it just being 5 bucks. I get the point from both sides but IMO with the many privileges that a pro member has I wouldn't sweat paying 5 bucks. (Speaking for me) The advantages of a PRO membership for as long as the membership lasts will always over exceed one small disadvantage.

I'm excited to see the RiRi's summer collection , for some reason TR is not exciting me anymore
Starting to feel that way too...I'm kinda only interested in underdressed since I dont own a bronze lip product at all an FMP for the purple junkie in me... but other than that I'm sure stuff will be there if I'm in the mood later in the month.

Which is why i think sometimes people confuse PRO membership with Sephora VIB. It's not a "I'm more important than them" card, it's an opportunity to build your kit for your career. And I see people abusing that by using it as a way to just get makeup for cheap or see collections first and it's not fair but like the other poster said, it's the small things that make pple look down upon PRO when a lot of people associated with it don't think that way.
Exactly! I understand too that it's not pleasant, but it's happened twice, here and with Haley Williams. My discount more than makes up for the $5.
