I had to deal with a lot of bullying at school and everyone who should stand behind me told me *that's your fault* so I can really understand how that girl must have felt

It's disgusting that people actually do things like this. What gets me is where it says that the mother of the other, unnamed family feels no guilt 'because Megan had tried it before.'

Is she serious? No guilt because a suicidal/depressed teenager tried to kill themself once before, and actually ended up doing it because of HER actions this time? Not her fault? Fucking disgusting.

Those people have got a lot of bad karma coming their way. I read the other day that the blogosphere has outed them and people in town are taking it out on their business by refusing to patronize them and making sure other customers know exactly what they did to that poor little girl.

I hope and pray that her parents get some kind of legislation passed that names repercussions for people guilty of this kind of mental and emotional cruelty.

Unbelievable. Even more so that there's so much protection for the other family.

This is just so terrible. That other family has so effectively destroyed three lives (maybe more, considering the other relatives grieving with the parents). And the perpetrators are adults who are acting worse than teenage thugs.

As I said earlier today elsewhere, it's not "JUST THE INTERNET".
There are real people on the other side of that connection and that keyboard who really are affected by what other people say and do.
I hope, thanks to the medium that those adults used (the internet) this follows them no matter where they go.
Move to Hot Springs? OH! Y'all are the people who made that little girl hang herself.
Move to Brenham? Ohhh we heard of y'all. Mmm.
Move to Utah, Nevada, Montana, where ever...People should know who those people are and what they're capable of.


And, as bad as it sounds, considering the mother's motivation for creating the account, no, I would not allow my daughter to associate with their child, simply because I would not be able to trust the motivation. And, I would not allow my daughter to answer any questions or make any statements about their child, for the same reason.

The mother should be drug out in the street and horsewhipped.
