^^ Buff should do good ... Or if you feel that's too light, go for Sand Beige ... G'luck

Re: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

I'm a C35 during the summer and I got Fresh Beige. It's not a perfect match but Medium Beige was too red for me since I'm a C, I am yellow based, so Fresh Beige is a better match. It's a bit lighter than C35 but it works for me in the winter because I am a bit paler. hth.

What would you recommend for an NW20? Would Buff work for that as well?

Thanks.

Re: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

I'm a NW15 or NW20 depending on formula and time of year. I just started using the colorstay in oily/combo in buff and I love it! Good color match for me. The lightest color (ivory) seems really light for a drugstore product so is a good choice for those who have trouble finding a drugstore color I think.

I'm usually the lightest color in any drugstore foundation, but ivory is too light for me.

Hrmph. All these shades are peachy! Grrrr. The old version of Colorstay wasn't like this.

I've tried and returned nearly all the colors except the darker ones. I'm NC25, yellow-olive, and found that:

BUFF: too light, just a smidge though. Gives a very grey cast on me. Slightly peachy, but not by much.

SAND BEIGE: idk how so many NC25s love this on MUA, it is PURE PEACH on me! The overall shade is not that bad but there's a noticeable peach cast and my face looks kinda 80's ish with it on.

NATURAL BEIGE + FRESH BEIGE: Peach peach peach. Those were both a definite no.

GOLDEN BEIGE: probably the one with the most yellow in it. A little too dark for me now but I could see myself using this in the summer when I'm around NC30-35. I'll have to see then.

WARM GOLDEN: red orange undertones

TRUE BEIGE: peach city!

NUDE + MEDIUM BEIGE: those weren't too bad, not that peachy or orange but I felt they were just way too neutral on my skin and made me look a little dead, even after using bronzer.

After that frustration I decided to give it another shot and just mix two colors. I waited til Walgreen's had a buy 1 get 1 free sale and purchased Buff and Natural Tan. I was able to get a pretty close match but the peachyness was still there. However not nearly as pronounced as the other ones I've tried in the line. I do think I should have chosen Rich Tan instead as it seemed more yellow, and Natural Tan seems to bring out peach tones when mixed with Buff. So I'll probably return them both next week and try one last time with Rich Tan.

I really love the formula, coverage, and staying power of this foundation but it was just too hard and too frustrating trying to find a shade for my light,yellow-olive Latina skin. Thank goodness for Walgreens and they're frequent BOGO sales on this!

Another plus with this foundation, at least in my experience, is that it prolongs the wear of anything you put over it, like a primer. My blush, concealer, and bronzer lasted as long as the foundation did! I was really impressed with that.

Oh I should mention, all the shades I tried were for Oily/Combo skin

Ok, so I went back to Walgreens and bought Buff and Toast. Jackpot! I added a liiiittle bit of Toast to buff on the back of a blank cd, and it matches nicely! Or as close as I think I'm going to get in Colorstay. The undertone still isn't there all the way, but I'm really happy with what I can achieve with Toast and Buff. Hth someone!

I'm a NW 15-20 and for me, the Ivory is perfect (I was worried it would be too light and Buff was too yellowish).

I LOVE this foundation. I use Nude and it's great coverage, lasts all day, and my skin is so smooth after I apply it. Love.

This is my HG foundation. I have really dry skin and it does not accentuate my dry areas. Awsome coverage and it really adheres to my skin.

Re: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

Ok....I just stopped into to Ulta today and picked up the Colorstay foundation in Toast. Thankfully this location had testers! The color is a perfect match for my skin. Both the sales person and I were surprised. I was so happy. You really couldn't even tell where I placed the foundation. Goodbye NC45 & NW43. This is sooooo much better. It's not as yellow/orange. I can't wait to try it tomorrow. I bought the Sonia Kashuk blending sponge so we'll see how it turns out.

ETA: I tried it. I didn't care for the application with the SK sponge. As for the foundation itself, I don't think I have ever had a better color match. It's so perfect! But, I think the foundation makes my skin really oily.

I am debating on keeping it.

I know that I posted about Golden Caramel being a good match but I returned that one a while back and bought Natural Tan and this one is a waaaayyyyy better match. For reference I'm an NC 40 NC42 in SFF. HTH....Again. LOL

Re: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

i have heard a lot of good reviews on this and want to try it, i was wondering what shade anyone would recommend for NW30 in SFF? the NW30 is actually sometimes too peach for me, but NC30 is too light and yellow. my best color match is Estee Lauder double wear light in 3. I have a hard time matching because MAC is usually too peach or too yellow for me. thanks for any help anyone can give!
