From the new swatches, I like the neutral set again. Mostly Stealing Kisses and Scottish Lilt. It may jump into my cart, but I'm gonna try to be strong!!! And to the smokey pigments: it is *so* on!

Yay, I just got my package! I am loving everything that I got, the Dashing Lassies Palette, HBC, TFG (and Sir Teddy!). My roomie kind of freaked out when she saw HBC, she was like "Is that blush?!?" and I just nodded haha, I can't wait to try it out! I'm liking the pigmentation on most of the palette, I figure that this palette will be all of the eyeshadow that I bring with me when I go to my parent's house (I always get so scared that my eyeshadows are going to die on the plane!) which is great.
All of this sleepover talk is making me think, wouldn't it be awesome if we Specktrettes could have some kind of convention? It would be so cool to meet all of you! And I agree that we need a pillowfight emoticon!

Well I've been debating whether to go back and buy her highland honey (to use in combination with HBC as mentioned in my last post)...
However I have the ripe peach ombre blush and i started wondering how similar they are... I quickly googled it and found this: http://blushingyal.com/2010/10/29/mac-colour-collection-holiday-haulswatches/ so it looks like I might leave HHH blush after all.

Well, I've been pretty quiet about this collection. I was/am determined not to like it. I went over the edge with VV (and am happy that I did so, love).
I normally steer clear of the holiday palettes, but I was drawn to the plaid. Initially, I was going to get Reelers and Rockers, and one pearl glide.
I did really well in the restraint department. I got Reelers and Rockers, Twist of Tartan, Black Swan, and Lord it Up. (already had Undercurrent)
I got Twist of Tartan because of Vainglorious, and I just liked how it looked different. I got Vainglorious in VV, and tbh, it's difficult to not use it everyday. I absolutely love it over GPS or p/g.
LOVE I tell you.
So, I was happy to get this palette to have a back up of Vainglorious and the pretty plaid.
I am so surprised with this one. The green??? wow,
I normally steer cleer of greens, unless they are more yellow greens, like Lucky Green, or Sharp, etc. I love Green as a color, but on my eyes? even though I have brown eyes and hair, and it's supposed to look good on me, we just don't fit.
But this green is gawgeous. The darker green in the palette, on the outer lid, with Vainglorious in the crease is happiness!!! I kept looking in the mirror, saying, woah! I like!!
Reelers and Rockers? so, so, so, so pretty. The copper color is unlike nothing I have, and incredibly flattering. I love a mix of metals, and mix of cool and warm with metals. This palette, to me, is in NO way too frosty. The silver and the copper are so, so flattering.
I honestly haven't been this happy with a MAC palette for a long time. Both of these. They swatch just so so, but do really well on the lid. Pigmentation and finish.
Now, I'm trying to not go look at Dashing Lassies. I have more of those kind of colors than I need, but I really do love this size and packaging of these palettes.
I will not think about Baron's rose, or the Peachy face kit. (must repeat hourly)

and I'm a piggy addict for sure! This will make up for PIC not being all I hoped for!
Lady and her Tricks Brush set- Woh tempalia really hates the brushes! lol (I dont get why we cant talk about her either, I love her blog) Funny thing is the differences she mentioned in most of the eye brushes in the set from the full sized brushes are actually what I want. I have a set from last years holiday and yes some are kinda scratchy but I use them pretty much every day. Plus I cant afford the 187 on its own right now might as well get the small one till I can. Plus I want the bag!!!!!
Vain and Glorious lipbag- I love pink lips and the gold packaging!
Sir Teddy Keychain- How can I pass him up!?
None of the lipgloss sets impress me so there's one thing to make my wallet cry of joy. Then I am offcially DONE lol

It can't be wrong , because I purchased the viva glam set for the lipstick and bag...Could care less about the gloss...But in all honesty I could have saved so much and just bought the lipstick alone, but whatever...I'm in da mood for giving back and getting back at the same time!

I'm trying to repeat this same thought in my head, over and over again, for Baron's Rose. That lipstick is so damn pretty!!! I really don't need the dazzleglass, but I wouldn't hate getting it. The lip liner is actually unique to what I already own, so that's a plus. This kit is probably worth it for the lipstick alone, but I'm trying so hard to be good now (I just caved on some Chanel and BB goodies, lol).
Whatever I say now, I'm sure I'll buy it when Chapter 2 is released. There's no way I can see it again and be strong enough to pass a second time.

I've always wanted Dark Soul but never got it. Same with Blue Brown. And Naked. And Reflects Blackened Red Glitter.The vials will be a good way to tell if it is worth it for me to get them all in full size.
I'm liking the cool set again, too. I may have to get it. Damn. I thought I was gonna start cutting back.

i just read temptalia's reviews of the pigment vial sets. sooo excited to have mauvement and gilded green in vial form.
but it looks like mac reformulated the vial packaging, the caps are shorter/matte and there are stickers with the color names on the bottoms now instead of the batch code. i'm a pigment vial collector, so the fact that these look different makes my ocd get a little

Damn damn damn... I've looked again at the pigment and lippie sets, and I want them all!!
Right now I'm set on the pink lip set and smokey eye set.... if I could pick one more of each, which should I go for? I'm not worried that a lot of the pigments are perm or repromotes, because I'm new to piggies and the small size is just fine for now...

I'm dealing with the exact same thing, down to the smokey + pink. I know that you liked the warm, and it is very pretty, but in swatches, it doesn't wow me. Neither does the cool set, tbh, but I think on their own, those are all gonna be gorgeous shades. If I can get another one, it'll be the cool set. I wish I could pull off the warm, but I'm way too cool toned.
And lipglass sets.... That's where I'm stuck. I know the neutrals are more WOC friendly, but I think I like them better than the corals. At least, on others. I don't know if I could pull them off. But I kind of want the set just for Stealing Kisses. And the tin, of course.
