Doing the happy Chanel dance. Per my Nordies Chanel MUA Byzance has been shipped to them and they expect it any time. Looks like I will pick up Byzance, Fall and Anniversary on the same day.

That's awesome! My Nordies Chanel MUA said they weren't getting it....but I'm sure it will be online as well. I probably should have waited to get it from them, but I didn't want to snooze and lose.

You're so lucky! I called all my area Chanel counters and none of them even heard of Byzance. I'm gonna be hella irritated if they end up getting it anyway and I've been crazy stalking the site for nothing.

Temptalia has made the quad exciting to me. I had written it off, but it's beautiful. I'm also glad to know that Mufe #84 is a reasonable dupe for Epatant. I had it once upon a time, but gave it to a friend who begged me for it. I'll have to buy it again.

Shypo-I've probably been driving the poor Chanel MUA nuts. I call every couple of days. She laughed today and told me not to worry, I would get it and it would be here soon. LOL

Queen of Snark-I am very lucky to live near an area that has a Chanel boutique in the downtown Nordstrom. I get to see lots of cool things this way.

Hey, Anneri, there you are :waves: :) Love the pic. Shypo, that a brand like Chanel has bad service in a boutique is really hard to believe. I hope they send you all that you wanted. Winthorp, nice quilt, but I liked the other avatar better :)

C! I just read of your hellacious experience with the Soho Store.. I think they have a red button alert when I call cause I get the phone hung up on me or hang and wait for a voice -- they test my paitience to see how many four letter words I can cram into a voice mail.... lol.

just kidding!

April.. so nice to see you.. I am in Central America -- and no Chanel in site.. lol. You are lucky!

About the SOHO Chanel boutique

got to agree with you ladies. I called several times to ask about Byzantine and either:

  • nobody picked the phone during business hours and I got voicemail ( Nicole)
  • they picked up and would not connect me to beauty, instead tried to answer questions themselves and had no clue what they are talking about
  • one time got the guy I asked if they received Byzantine collection and he started to answer me about colors of Iphone cases or something

at that point I gave up calling and just figured it was not meant for me.

I really wanted to avoid visiting boutique in person due to experience I got in the 57th street boutique where the SAs looked down on me. Since then I just get all my stuff at Bergdorf's.

But I was near the place last time so I did went there and can not complain actually, the service was good, SAs nice, not snotty and they did not push products on me. I would go there again, but I would not call again.

Yes - they were all very nice, and not snobby (Monique was quite nice on the phone) but I think they're just not very competent when it comes to working with customers over the phone. I'm glad you had a good in-store experience. I'll know tomorrow whether I got what I intended to order ;).

So what are the prices of the blushes & quad?

I haven't touched it yet.

I tried to swatch it very lightly but it will mess up the design since the shadows are very buttery and soft and the rounded pans aren't that big. I almost damaged one of the Cs.

Thanks for the Mufe info. I love their shadows although I couldn't get them over here >.<

Shontay, thank you so much for the input about Epatant an MUFE #84. They may be dupes, but I could be happy with both of them. I'll check the MUFE e/s this afternoon in Sephora.

I am up and I am up early. Nothing up on the Chanel site for Byzance. I stayed online until 1am this morning hoping, and still they haven't got it up.

Sigh....
