Thanks for the lovely compliments everyone! So far, I'm really happy. I'll share my initial thoughts on the items I've tried...
Peridot Nail Polish - I'm more impressed than I thought. I had read some reviews saying it was pretty on the nails, but a slight disappointment compared to the bottle - that the strong turquoise seen at the edge of the bottle didn't really transfer to the nails. For me, it DID appear on the nail. Maybe it's because my nails are quite curved, but when I look straight on, I see the turquoise along the edges of my nails near the skin. Very cool! I've had a few compliments on it, including one from a man at work who said he wanted the colour to paint his car (not sure if that counts as a compliment, lol).
Mirifique - BEAUTIFUL liner! This one really impressed me. Because the formula can be anywhere from sheer to intense, this makes a lovely soft liner. I tried it today as winged liner. It's a soft colour with sparkle that wasn't OTT for work. (UDPP, with MAC Naked Lunch as a base, some Copperplate in the crease and lightly on the lower lash line, then Mirifique liner). I put it on a 7:30am, went to work (office, on the road, outdoors, 30 degrees today!), then went home, went in the pool, walked the dog... and it was still on! It didn't fade and the shimmer was still visible! Also, no transfer to my lid/crease. I couldn't believe it.
Ebloui - Tested it in a brownish/burgundy smokey look. I always shy away from warm colours because they tend to not suit me at all, but I have to admit I bought this because it was close to the d/c MAC PP in Artifact, and Benefit Stiletto. I watched a YT video of Lisa Eldridge where she does a cream shadow smokey look with Benefit Strut, then added Artifact to the centre of the lid - I'm obsessed with the look! Anyways I'm way off track here - I was surprised o see that this did not give me an infected eye look. It was very flattering and really brought out the green in my eyes. I didn't do a full look, just tested it out to get an impression and so far I like it, and I own nothing similar. I'm excited to try out a version of Lisa's look that was just SO pretty!
Have yet to try Illusoire and Graphite, but I have a feeling there won't be anything but praise from me! I've had the Prelude quad for a while now (I picked it up in the States) and absolutely ADORE it. Just say "cool taupe/neutral" and I'm sold.
