^^Elegant -- did you have a fabulous time with the kids?? Was something fabulous in your little blue box??
heart.gif

We ate lots of yummy food, too -- back to my kick butt workouts. I just did Jillian's 6 week six pack and I am dying . . .
I tried one mascara sample that was in a mini box, but I have another one that came in a paper type pouch that I haven't tried. I hope they're both good!

And cried terribly when they left.

How excited were the girls!? I'm sure your family had a lovely Christmas together.

The coveted blue Tiffany's box contained the Paloma Picasso XO necklace which I wanted very much & adore - its so simplistically beautiful. I cried then too.

I didn't miss a beat working out even with the kids here

You go girl!

MissQQ - ms. lazy here reporting back on the comparison ;)

Ebloui is not like the darker color in the Spring quad. Its lighter more bronzey/metallic whereas the darker color in the quad is more of a burgundy Magic Night.

So glad you had a great time. I will be crying, too, when my girls are grown and leave
cry.gif

My girls were out of their minds excited. They were thrilled to get what they asked for and very appreciative -- so sweet. The cutest part was when my youngest saw her American Girl doll and was just about beside herself LOL

The necklace sounds beautiful. I always get excited to get a Tiffany's catalog in the mail. I should start circling things like my kids do with the toy catalogs . . .

You are my workout hero!

You will indeed. I do ok until they start packing & then I come undone ;)

That is so cute about the doll! I'm sure they were a delight to watch.

Its nice too when they are appreciative.

LOL with circling the Tiffany wants. Just like the Christmas catalogs when we were kids

That little slice of pumpkin pie cost me an extra round on the treadmill.

Once you start doing it on a schedule, your body just gets used to it.

Oh, I am wearing Emerveille & Clair liner on the inner rim for the first time today - LOVE them both. Yep, Winthrop & HG were right, Clair is waaay better than the MAC one.It looks so natural & perks the eyes/face up.

Is anyone else having problems with the HG ads taking over the main page on this site? I can't get to the sidebar without having to click on an ad and then it takes me to the advertisement -- bizarre!

I am thinking about the nude lippie Superstition from the Spring collection after reading Sabrina's rave reviews. Has anyone swatched it in person? I remember someone saying it didn't show up at all -- but I am wondering if it would show up on saran wrap lips??

^That might've been me saying that about Superstition, but of course I'm much tanner than you so go try it!

About the ads--if you're using Firefox, get the add-on Ad Block Plus. I've never had a pop-up or sidebar ad since. :)

I knew you would like Clair. It is so lovely and now my MAC one doesn't get much love.

One of the ma's at MAC told me once she used it when wearing bright l/s. She said she put it just under her lower lip line and lined just above the cupids bow and blended. She said it really made red l/s pop and stay put. I don't wear bright lippies so I haven't tested this.

Yep -- it is her first AG doll. I had to LOL at the mini neighborhood comment. I am sure we are on our way there with all of the accessories. This is the same daughter who gazes at my makeup every day and already has what colors she wants to wear for her dance recital (end of January). She is such a mini me ;)

I wish I could swatch it in person, but there is nary a Chanel counter in sight -- LOL I have to do all of my ordering online.
I am going to look into that ad block -- drives me crazy when sponsors make it so you have to look at their site by the way they place their ads.

Ernie -- I saw your comment that you love Superstition. What is your skintone like? I am cool toned and fair -- wondering if it will work for me??

Thanks for the tip! I will wear Clair on my cupids bow and lower lip line. I like groups of toys that form a neighbourhood. Looks pretty and I could tell a story with them.

elegant-one,
that's a beautiful necklace to have! Grats! And wow, you really are determined to work out through the holidays.. I couldn't - I caved in to all the goodies and ate my heart out..

On a really bright note - the Spring collection has hit my local Chanel boutique~ Made an appt with the MUA and was gushing all over the colours... they truly are beautiful, delicate pinks and oranges!
eyelove.gif
I hauled home the blush (simply beautiful - he layered the upper cheek with the pink upper of the blush then did the lower in the coral orange shades which really made it pop), Eclosion, Tigerlily (which is a piece we both agreed that is really something new for Chanel and a must-have), RCS in Flirt and Candeur, Grenat(which looked really red to me under the white lighting but turned into an absolutely unique brownish-red when properly blended) and the glosses in Petillant and Bagatelle. It's strange but we didn't get Bonbon!! Jasmin is perfect for Asian skins I think - a very nice beigey-peach sparkle.. and a new golden camillia,,, *swoons*

This is random, but you ladies have good taste so what do you think of Jimmy Choo? I thinking of getting a pair of day shoes, not with high heels but for walking and running after buses/trains if necessary. I went to the website and there are nice bags too, sweet with a bit of rocker style. The one with a corsage look like a Chanel camelia, and they have the design for wallet and sandals too. http://us.jimmychoo.com/en/us/day/sky-s/invt/113skyssbl/
I like the black bag very much, are you thinking about getting it?
Next time I'm at my Nordies I'll see if I can sneak some phone pics. I know my fave SA wouldn't mind but her boss would, and the last thing I want is for her to leave! *cue Mission Impossible music*  :sneaky: So that makes the upcoming collections: February - Levres Scintillantes (neon coral and pink glossimers and polishes) March - Vitalumiere Hydra Compact + 3 JCs (Tumulte, Malice, Pink Explosion) April - Summer 2012 (bronzers + coral/gold/beige polishes, glossimers, and RCS) May - (unknown name) - collection w/ Jeans polishes, 3 RCs and 3 RCS June/July - Bombay Express Wow, is Chanel seriously releasing that many collections back to back? I'm (relatively) new to Chanel, but that strikes me as a MAC-level release schedule.
I wonder how many of those collections make it to Europe. Almus, how are you doing? Is your new flat all decorated?

bis - I like the bag, but not the price. I hope to see it in person first to see if I must have it.

Swatches of the spring blush - very pretty!

MissQQ -- lol to the messed up Barbies. I can't tell you how many Barbies I have thrown away because of ratty hair. My older two didn't get into dolls quite as much, but you can imagine what our closets look like with 3 girls in our house!
I want to find a good flesh colored liner, too. Good to hear that Clair is a good color.
Those pictures of the Spring blush are gorgeous. I am becoming a little obsessed with that blush -- the finish is my absolute fave

Bis and MissQQ -- you must tell us if you get any Jimmy Choo!

I have no color in my lips and I did purchase Superstition. I really like it. I always fill on my lips with liner and when I wore Superstition with Natural liner, it was a nice, peachy nude. I don't think the color is all that unique so I wouldn't call it a must have but I'm glad I got it. I could see it working with alot of different liners.

Hey peeps
friends.gif
you guys make me laugh.

Shadowaddict - Just the plain white gold one. I LOVE P Picassos designs. Elegant! Thats right, you mentioned about Clair too. I knew there was someone else that liked it, but I couldn't remember. geesh. I used the Mac one like that too - outer corners of lips & eyes, cupid bow...heck anything that needs perked up LOL

Michelle - One day Chanel will hear us & make that perfect nude - we hope. Ratty hair barbies
lol.gif
Ours even had ratty hair wigs! We would stick short pins in their ears so that the flat part looked like they had their ears pierced
girlhaha.gif
& Ken got a beard courtesy of the magic marker. THEN, we found out many years later how much the originals that we destroyed were worth - without our alterations
sigh.gif
Barbie & I are the same age - both born in 1959
icon_eek.gif
however, she looks much better in a bathing suit.

Miss QQ - Isn't that always the way...like the item, not the price tag. Yes, buy yourself something lovely for your birthday - lots to choose from. Don't feel guilty :) about the workouts. When you're my age, you cannot even look at a picture of pie without gaining weight
blah.gif
so I'm trying to stay ahead of it. I would love to be able to swim...in the Caribbean that is. Although, we just watched a scary movie last night about people getting eaten by sharks when their boat capsized
