The Careblend bronzer from a couple years ago was amazing too - I really hope MAC does something about bringing those back and just generally keeping Careblend's profile high. Discontinuing the MCLPs has gotten me all worried about Careblend now.
Thanks for the suggestion, i may give the Careblend powder a try when my Mineralize Skinfinish Natural starts hitting pan, which will be soon. I, too, have dry skin, but MSFN works well when my liquid foundation is looking a bit too... liquid... I brush the powder on my T-zone and cheeks (but not under my eyes). The glowy finish keeps me from looking dried out and mummified.
I'm not much of a concealer person, but I am very happy with the Mineralize one. It's the only one moist enough to not crease or bunch up under my eyes and it does a good job of concealing everything I need (although I don't mind a few freckles, I do have a couple of age spots near my eyes I like to erase). The other good thing about it is it has caffeine in it, so it depuffs me. Combining it with P&P Vibrancy Eye gives serious depuff-o-rama.
After testing a number of DS & HE concealers for a couple years, I've settled on Lancome Maquicomplet, a liquid concealer in a tube with an applicator. I've got a couple age spots on my right cheek i prefer to hide, and my sunken undereyes look better with something creamy on them that evens out their color.
I have not had any success with the MAC foundations and concealers i've tried. They've been too dry on me. I returned the Studio Sculpt Foundation i bought because i looked mummified - and that was over moisturizer, plus i tested applying it with my fingers, a brush, and a slightly damp sponge. It looked great for the first hour or two, after that my skin looked like a drought stricken field, shrivelled and cracked. I may be able to get a sample of some Mineralize concealer to test over a couple days.
On the other hand, that new concealer palette has been drawing me in. I should check that forum and see what people think of it.
