REALLY had to stop myself from forcing liners on all these new orange lippies! I am ADDICTED to lip liners, but I think these shades look best on me worn alone. For example, I have Flamingo from the previous release. Thought I didn't like it at all... just didn't "do" anything for me really. Stored it away. This release had me dusting it off and just swatching it quickly on my lips, NO liner, and completely different result! Went from "MEH" to "LOVE" in a couple swipes. I was happy to grab a BU from the secret site the other day since it's a lustre and I know they go quick! (I'm looking at you Venus lippie!)

I look a little awful in this pic cause I'm sooooo sick w/ the worst cold/sinus crap EVER right now (due to all my traveling lately I imagine)... BUT that doesn't stop a TRUE makeup addict from trying her new Sushi Kiss lippie today! NC30/35 for reference.

Strolled into my local Dillard's just now (it's been raining since at least 5am when I had to drop my baby off for his football mini camp) and ended up getting HJ. I almost got IF but seemed to take a lot to show up on me and then it started to look very powdery. I didn't swatch the other one at all...honestly not sure why. Our store didn't have the display up at all so I had to ask if they even got it in! Ok NOW I should be done with this collection...I'm pretty sure I am lol. And I'm proud to say I fought the urge for bu's

THANKS BABYDOLL!! I don't normally go for yellows... but this top is so neon I had to have it! I put it on today to cheer me up and it spoke "AAO Lippie" to me! Glad you likey!

(Don't kill me ladies) but I hate gloss, so if I didn't maybe I could've justified it. It's okay, I don't usually wear lighter lips anyway so it'll be new for me just wearing Flamingo and S&S. Learning curve and all that!

I was able to B2M this morning. I called two different MAC stores near me and one store said no to B2M but the other said yes. I think individual stores hold their own policies.

I found that too--very inconsistent with how that policy was being followed----or not.

I wore sushi kiss to my parents house yesterday and my younger brother took one look at me and said "Jen...did you eat Cheetos?" Cheetos?! Thanks! Not the look I was going for.

maybe it was my fault for not putting balm on my lips beforehand. :/

I felt like that was me when I was first in line at Macys & bought 3 of the 5 FM powders & the youngsters behind me gave me that look. But I really wanted mine for my lock box & not ebay

Before heading out, i prepped myself for All About Orange: i put on Royal Sunset, which is a very workable strong coral on me (nope, not pink on me), a little Chanel Notorious to contour, and NARS Albatross to highlight. On my eyes i used my beloved Preferred Blonde on my lid and up to the crease, Performance Art from the Temperature Rising Quad on the outer half of my lids, and Powerchrome Copper Strip (which had arrived Tuesday) to line my eyes, work into the crease and V, and for a hint of a cat eye - it blended well with my finger tip, but i did know i needed to work fairly quickly.

And there i was, 9:30 AM, sittin' on a bench in front of my local MAC in the cold cloudy greyness with my warming large latte and a big thick book. It's a stand-alone store, but they seem to get such limited quantities of so many LE things! And since i promised to do a CP, i couldn't miss out.

9:45 the lights went on in the store, 9:50 a nice young lady showed up with a very patient baby snuggled into a stroller, and 5 minutes later another woman showed up - she looked a little familiar - maybe i've seen her here.

10 AM the store opened. The other two women huddled around the testers, but since i'd swatched last week, i knew exactly what i wanted and i rushed in flapping my arms and crying, "Flamingo! Sushi Kiss! Sweet & Sour!" (ok, not really, that's just for dramatic effect)

Yes, after seeing so many photos here of everyone looking so beautiful in their lipsticks, and after hand swatching S&S against Blossom Culture, a coral which i like and wear, i caved and got S&S which is lighter and brighter. Sushi Kiss was my CP. And i am now happily wearing Flamingo, which is a very pretty light pink-y coral on me and which i think is flattering to my coloring - and great to wear with Royal Sunset.

Great experience---no one was pushed or shoved, and our girl got what she wanted!!! YAY!

I just did a manicure with Sweet Pop - this color is soooooooo beautiful and unique. I've got some other peachy colored polishes but they all look too loud and obnoxious when compared to SP, which is still bright and adorable, but also sophisticated too. I only wish the color had come out earlier in the spring, because it's the most perfect sweet spring peach you could imagine. I didn't have much issue with the formula - it feels a little gelatinous - you have to have plenty of it on your brush or it tugs and streaks, but it has really top notch self leveling ability, so if you do get a patchy spot, you can dab a little blob right on it and it will smooth perfectly into the rest of the layer. The second coat evened everything out and it's very glossy on its own, but I would wait a little longer than normal before doing a lot of things - it seems to cure a little slowly so it could possibly dent for longer than some other polishes.

Nice to hear your thoughts on Sweet Pop---that's the only NP that I ordered from this collection. I was thinking it looked close to my Illamasqua Purity,
Butter London Kerfuffle, or MAC Life & Beth, but I didn't care--that soft color drew me in!

I don't see why i would stop wearing MAC between now and then

Heck, i certainly have enough MAC makeup in my stash to last me until then

Hey---I'll be 60 on 7/7, and I have a 73 year old sister who doesn't look a day over 50, she just retired in May and is still rocking her MAC,
Chanel, Dior---you name it. She doesn't leave home without makeup. She doesn't need it---she just loves it. She's gorgeous! I can only hope to look
as good when I'm her age. I have no intention of not wearing makeup because of my age---way too much fun to stop!

Imagine the utopia we would have if ebay bulk buyers didn't do such things. That way, "the look" would be a look of "Daaaaaamn, girl knows what she likes!" vs. a look of judgement that might be unfounded. (Not that I am saying it wasn't likely totally founded!).
