I just got confirmation, AGAIN, that this launches -on counter EVERYWHERE on the 12th, so that means -online (if MAC keeps it up) on the 5th and (again, if MAC stays true) -for pros on the 3rd So there you have it. No more questions about when and where this launches. Ok?
Agreed!

I get that it is annoying answering the same question all the time. But at the same time I am literally on this board as much as possible and can't keep up with the 9 or so threads I'm subbed to. I truly don't know how anyone can do it. And I'm not very good at juggling which collection is which so I can understand someone having that confusion.
My question is if people are sick of answering the same questions- why not just ignore them? Someone else will probably answer and if they don't the question will probably be answered anyway in due time.

It really is best to do a bit of research through the thread first. If you don't find the answer to what you're looking for then speak up and ask. But don't take it personal when someone gets short with you. They've probably been asked the same question multiple times. And when it comes down to it they don't HAVE to tell any of us anything. Just ask your question nicely and maybe disclaimer that you looked but did not see it answered in thread. Also you never know what is going on in someone's personal life. So be kind. Always.
So very very true!

Yes I'm sorry I didn't feel like flipping thru 20+ pages about Magic Mike on a makeup collection thread. Before I ask something I always try and go thru the last 5-10 pages. Threads get so off topic here that it's hard to keep up with certain aspects pertaining to a collection such as release dates. And I definitely was referring to the online release date w AA. Moot point now tho. As for my MAC counter, it is useless. Closest one is an hour away and they don't know anything. As in, don't even know what the next collection is when it's due to be out within a week.

People have lives, families, jobs Sometimes people don't have time to sort through hundreds of posts. If it is annoying to certain people that they ask questions why don't certain people just ignore it and let the people it doesn't annoy answer them.

very good point... when I don't feel like flipping, which I often dont do.. I jump on the fun factors of the site. If that's MAgic Mike.. or other issues, I will contribute to that too. If it's offensive to you or anyone else.. or you just don't like it, you can ignore me. And then.. like MAGIC.. (not Mike).. I will disappear.

this should be a fun and informative site.... if anyone thinks anyone else "owes" them information or attention.. then they should start using their ignore buttons.

I love to be ignored... so please feel free.

Another idea is posting the different release dates for instore / Macys/Nordstroms on the first page. I'm sure people will still ask but hopefully it will be less frequent.

I never ask my MAC counter girls anything regarding an up coming collection. Specktra has proven to be faster, more accurate and less full of bs than questioning the counter girls could ever be.

many times.. especially the people who have been on here for a longer time, actually try to help out with questions, advice, information etc.

it should not be taken as a requirement though.

and yes.. ignore is the best way.

I just have to say that there is a search function and you can search the individual threads for info. No one has to read tons of pages of stuff if they don't want to.

Exactly damn even I know the American release dates coz they get repeated so often and they have no use to me. It's not hard!!

What is with all the attitudes? Those of us that are here to find out about collections are all of a sudden looked upon as greedy people who feel they deserve information? I always try to give anything I hear, whether it's useful or not. If you don't want to hear what MAC cs told me than just ignore it. No one until now has said anything about the number of times that threads go off topic. But if you are going to accuse us of being lazy for not sifting thru pages and pages of random discussions which have nothing to do with makeup than at least you should know why we don't want to. How are we to tell how long we need to go back until the discussion is about the actual collection

Just go to the search this thread button, type in release date and hit search and you will get relevant posts from the thread. I understand your frustration but the answer is simple.

HG, life has sucked a lot for me lately, but your sense of humor and wisdom have pulled me back into Specktra. People like you, Naomi H, Erine, and elegant-one are super helpful, kind, supportive, and fun. Thanks for making Specktra so special.

oh here we go..

I must be the main culprit of going off threads. Since I don't wish to be reprimanded from anyone, much less someone who has been on the site for a month or less, I will use my little button and will no longer see you.

I suggest you do the same.

Because when people get ignored, then they ask again, then complain about their question being ignored and how they feel unwelcome. Trust me. I've been a member here for 7 years now. There's all kinds. But if it will make you guys feel better, I'll just keep the info i have to myself and let you all figure it out for yourselves. Message MAC chat (and complain about the differing dates they give you), call CS (and get upset because they won't/can't tell you) or call your counter/store (and get mad cuz they don't even know what collection you're talking about). Have fun with that!

Yeah, i went back (super easy to find) and you didn't ask for the ONLINE release date. You just asked for the release date. And my response wasn't even directed specifically to you. It was a general response to all, and included all release dates. And since it wasn't directed towards you, i couldn't have jumped down YOUR throat, now could i? Nice try honey.
What is the current date for the launch of this collection? I remember reading on here some people saying 12/13th then the 15th. I just called MAC and the girl told me she has "absolutely no idea" and that she didn't even know of the collection until people starting calling and asking about a date...I can't even. And Nordstrom just told me the 22ndish Anyone know ?
This releases in stores/counters on May 22nd. That's never changed. It's releasing at all locations. That's never changed. Online releases will occur at their normal day/time. That's never changed.

I didn't say to keep the info to yourself geez everyone knows whether they've been here a day or a decade that you are one of the most valuable members here always willing to answer questions. I said that I can see both sides and was offering a solution that's all.
