I have a few brushes I purchased at the mac counter myself and they are imprinted with France, Japan, China. I have 2 brushes that say FRANCE. hth!

Well whether or not you are right, the seller is no longer registered (I was watching a brush from him/her.. i was still doing research as i thought it looked dodgy) Glad i didn't buy!

I have bought a MAC #168 SE gold short handled brush.. and i'm 99% sure it's authentic. Yay

Sucks for all the girls who bought fakes, i probably wont stop buying from ebay though, just be super wary.. and i think i'll try to buy SE where i can as there not copied as much

Has anyone bought from v_darkbloom.. looks authentic too me.
eBay Seller: LiveAuctionFloorBidder: items on eBay Australia
the prices aren't too good to be true, although still a hell of a lot cheaper then aussie retail! I think she could be fairly reliable from the looks of things.

Sorry for the long post!!

Just to share, I recently find an other fake brush seller (and I had a fake pigment from her too) on ebay. I said to her that her brushes are fakes (unfurtunately for her I had already originals from MAC pro) and I had a nice answer wich I'll share with you:

Whatever bitch. You can go to hell for all I car. I don't talk to rude, ignorant, stupid, uneducated people liek. I hope you get hit by a car when you are out in streeet. Go back to school and learn how to talk to people. And you F*** yourself.

On a more positive note jing77612 the seller of many believable fakes is no longer a registered user!! Hoping it's because he was selling fakes not just for not paying fees or something

Has anyone used the seller gilli492?

I don't own any mac brushes, let alone ones bought from ebay, so any guidance would be appreciated!

I'm a bit confused. I have a 182 brush that I bought from the MAC store and the logo is at the top of the handle by the bristles, just like the photo above. BaDKiTTy69's kabuki looks pretty genuine to me

I looked at the photo on the website and the 182 looks fake to me too. The photo on the website shows the number that's close to the bristles and the MAC logo on the other end of the handle.

Maybe it's the way the bristles are arranged? Mine looks a lot "taller" and "domed" (I guess those are the right descriptive words?) than the one in BadKitty's picture...

Before I knew about this site, and before I discovered good make up, I bought a set of MAC brushes on Ebay. But they are definitely fake... the only good thing about it is that I didn't pay too much for them and I can use them to test some brush techniques or test something I don't want to use my 'real' MAC brushes for

New MACs 15 pcs Professional Makeup Brush Set + FreeCas - eBay (item 280283361350 end time Nov-10-08 09:10:58 PST)

these are very, very counterfeit (as are the seller's other items).

Once you've actually purchased it by eBay rules you should pay. You can try contacting the seller and nicely saying that you have realised these brushes are counterfeit and you no longer want them, however this could be tricky as the seller would have been charged a listing fee.

good luck, and let us know how you go!

i sent a very nice message to the seller telling her that i discovered the items were counterfeit and no longer wanted them but that i would be happy to pay her listing fee for her somehow. then, i got a message from ebay saying they had removed the listing! so, i guess i'm good. do you think someone else ratted her out?

i have opted instead to purchase the coastal scents brushes since they have great reviews and are more to my budget...i feel much more comfortable ordering from their site than purchasing any brushes on ebay...
