I don't think they are similar at all, to be honest. Hipness, although a frost, is hardly "frosty" at all. It appears to have more of a satin finish, with very minimal shimmer. Its a coral with slight peachy pink undertones. Orgasm, on the other hand, is quite shimmery & more peachy pink than coral. HTH!

I did get Flash n Dash. It doesn't seem very "tangerine" like its described or really even as it looks in the tube. I think its kind of like a light strawberry shade with pink pearl. Its a glaze, but very buildable & very smooth in texture. This was my 2nd fave lipstick from the collection, my 1st being Utterly Frivolous.

Passed on the quads as I already have colors very similer to those, would've liked the green in Fafi Eyes 2 but it reminded me too much of Lustreleaf which I have and never use. Passed on the dolls and bags because the Fafinettes are not my cup of tea....can't wait to get my order tough!

i wasn't impressed by this collection. the only one i liked is hipness blush. the packaging is kinda cheap looking, and like someone mentioned, are like stickers. i also was at the private event last night and it was fun, with cocktails and appetizers. i left the store with nothing, i think i have similar colors already.

OK, I ordered it...you talked me right into it

still undecided about the blushes. I want Hipness, but have so many corals so I wonder if this would be much different in color?

I really love Hipness. It seems like the perfect springtime blush. Its slightly more coral/peach than Fleurry from Strange Hybrid last year. And its definitely lighter than Pinch Me (which is my fave perm blush). Don't know if that helps you at all though, lol.

I really wanted to get Utterly Frivolous and Flash-N-Dash, but didn't want to buy them sight unseen.

Same with Hipness. Is the online swatch accurate? I was hoping it would be a bit darker and brighter.

HA...I just went & ordered Hipness after reading your reply.

If I have Dollymix and Don't Be Shy, would I need Fashion Frenzy? Is it anything like Don't Be Shy? Or should I get Pink Swoon instead? I am an NC35. Thanks!

I think if you have Dollymix and Don't Be Shy you can probably survive without FF. FF is a Satin so it's more pigmented than Pink Swoon which is a Sheertone but I'm sure you could achieve something very similar just by layering or even using something like Pink Ingot Metal-X on your cheeks and dusting Pink Swoon over it.

There is a great photo showing FF against some of the others in the fafi swatch thread! It shows all 3 in their pots & on skin. It's at the very bottom of the page right now.
The MUA in NY told me that it is not like Barbie DBS or Pink Swoon...more fuchsia in it.

while i like this collection im extremely disappointed with how anal mac is being with their employees about this collection. we cant all wear fafi hearts and those who do, have to follow the EXACT shape of the heart on the bottom of the dolls. we cant wear any wigs for theme day, at all. copyright issues. how ridiculously stupid. and the even sent the managers guidelines for the girls we chose to dress up as the fafinettes. its even as meticulous as implying what race these girls need to be in order to be one.

and they are only letting us get discount on the makeup. not the bags :\ im just upset with how over the top this is becoming.

That's so snobby and rediculous on Fafi's part, if she has anything to do with it. Disgusting.

i didn't hear all that. just some of it. we were told we couldn't all do wigs cause it would detract from the makeup, but some of us can. but its interesting that our hair can be any color of the rainbow any other day. im gonna wear a wig. as far as the hearts, we were told that we need to also represent customer friendly looks, and having all of us wear hearts doesn't do that. hello, theme day anyone? we did masks for mardi gras. those weren't customer friendly looks, but people understand that. they aren't gonna think that just because we wear hearts on our cheeks that thats the trend right now. give em some credit will ya? besides, if they didn't want us to all wear hearts, don't put it in one of the looks. what if all of us came rollin in wearing that same look? another girl and i teamed up on this theme day. we wanted to rock it, but with all the restictions, its just another normal saturday. i guess we have to save our flare for heatherette. they better not cut us down on that one too!

it does blow about the discount thing. i just paid full price for the dolls, scarf and mini bag. oh well. can't win em all.

Yeah, that's kind of the same thing I was wondering about it to! I just didn't know how to say it. To me it looked like a red tint, which is what I was looking for.

It DOES look like a red tint, it's very pretty on the lips, and it actually does look like "red tangerine" to me. It's smooth and doesn't crease as much either

Isn't that normal though? Like I remember hearing with Barbie MAC employee's could get discounts on the makeup because, of course, that's mainly what MAC is about and you build your collection of makeup. I don't think its unreasonable to think they wouldn't give you a discount on a tote.

I can't comment on the rules for the Fafi theme days though. Sounds interesting but I'd like to hear comments from other employees.
