Oh that sounds lovely!! It looks so beautiful in so many girls' swatches, I was so sad that it didn't look the same on me. I wanted to like it so much!

Maybe I'll use some empties to get it and play around with it over bases and as a liner. I definitely wouldn't spend money on it after seeing how it swatched on myself but getting it for free I may be able to do something to make it work for me! We'll see...

I haven't been this excited for a collection in a long time. I really feel like this collection was made for me. I am smitten. I had to come home and change my shirt. It was covered in drool

Waternymph owner here too. Thanks for eliminating Gulf stream from my list as well. Waternymph is so pretty and the texture is faboo.

I just got back from mac and swatched Gulf Stream. At first glance it looked like a dead ringer for Waternymph. I swatched Waternymph at home next to it to compare and although there is a slight, and I mean slight, tonal difference, on my PPP skin it is not significant enough to have both. I am so proud I resisted getting GS. However, anyone who missed out on Waternymph and wants a color very much like it GET IT! It is very pretty. I think it is a tiny bit darker than Waternymph and has a little less gold in the sheen. Both are pretty eyeshadows and if you like this type of color be sure to have one of them!

Just got my UPS MAC shipment of random stuff, (Cool Heat arrives Tuesday

) and I just got my first paint pot, Rollickin'! It's inpiring me to get more. Can't wait to try it w/ Cool Heat stuff!

I love new MAC days when everyone's posting their hauls!!! So off I went today to add to monday's order (Gulf Stream, Solar White and Warm Chill) which actually arrived after I got back from the MAC store!

Here are my thoughts-

I agree Gulf Stream is v. simlar to Waternymph, i too preferred Waternymph actually, but mine broke some time ago. The thing is, for those of us that use these brighter colours in small doses (as I do), the difference is negligible. If I used it full on, then definitely waternymph had a nicer sheen to it.

Warming Trend has nice texture, is a nice light khaki beige colour. I didn't find it remarkable for me (NC25) but did get it because it'll make a nice base colour to blend with some brighter shades. It almost reminded me of Shroom a little more than Patina, but Shroom doesn't show up on me at all so I'm hoping this will be better!

Blue Flame is a lot like Deep Truth, but found DT a tad better texture wise and ever-so-slightly darker.

Solar white looks really pink in the pan, comes out a goldish-white shade. It's not as amazing as it sounded, but I did get it, as a lid shade to blend with brighter/darker shades. I don't find this to be that comparable to White Wheat, which is really is much prettier.

Warm Chill - This has great potential, but it does go on a tad sheer. I know it's been compared to Mood Ring, but I found MR to verge on a teal-ish shade, this a bit more on the green side, paler and with a bit of gold to it.

Gentle Simmer - This one was nicer than I expected. It's kinda sheer, but really really pretty

Tropic Glow - Gorgeous! Looks really bright in the tube, but swatches somewhat like a lustre, a gorgeous pink shade with slight blue undertones and a gorgeous shimmer.

I also picked up Turquatic Heat, my first MAC fragrance. It has that summery beachy smell but also has something else to it, perhaps it's the "warmth" as described on the website that makes it more wearable for me anyway. I can't do the overly beachy scents.

All in all, i wasn't blown away by this collection, but still ended up getting quite a few items, because i am still fairly new to the world of brighter shades!!!

Agh, Cool Heat sounds like an impulse buy for me now. Since the texture isn't as wonderful as the others.. it's probably another Big T and I already have that one.

Im running out of time as I have to go to work. But I will still do a review later. They had ALL the shadows but I didn't buy all of them.

I bought:
Solar white
Blue Flame
Climate Blue
I wanted Cool Heat but she gave me Gulf Stream by accident. booo

I also bought Knight Divine and Magnetic Fields from NSF.
I did a B2M for Tropic Glow which is really pretty. Palatial lustreglass looks AMAZING over it.

I had already ordered Gulf Stream online a few days ago. Now I won't be able to go back until tomorrow morning to get it exchanged and depot all my shadows to get me another slimshine. aaahhhh I don't like my makeover. I miss Margo.

Hooray for hauls!

When I went in I wasn't sure I wanted Warm Chill because every time I swatched it, it was barely visible as a slight gold sheen with hardly any green. At the store today I swatched it over cream color base in Pearl and tried it on my lids over Greenstroke PP and it was magnificent! The green was quite vivid with a beautiful gold shimmer... so I caved!
