For example, it looks lovely with juxt and freshwater: juxt on the inner half of the lid, freshwater on the outer half (with the two blended together in the middle), with a bit of plumage in the outer corner and as liner. Keep in mind, that's just one combo! (And hey, those were the first three MAC shadows I bought for myself!

I completely agree with Sanay. I use it in very small doses, and usually with lighter or brighter shades of the same family. Sometimes as a liner. I never use it on my lid. IMO, it is just too dark and overpowering for that. It is nice in the crease with a very light color on the lid. I apply it a little at a time and blend as I go, and I like to use the 219 brush with it because gives me more control, and the color goes just where I want it to go. Then if I want it more blended, I use my 224 to blend it out. Some of my favorite combos with Plumage are:
-Brill on the lid, Steamy in the crease, Plumage on the outer V
-Warm Chill on the lid, Gulf Stream in the crease, Plumage on the outer V
-Cumulus on the lid, Moonflower in the crease, Plumage on the outer V
-Brill on the lid, Ether MES in the crease, Plumage on the outer V
-Hipnotique on the lid, Plumage heavily blended in the crease, Carbon in the outer V
-Vanilla e/s on the lid, Aquadisiac in the crease, Plumage in the outer V
-Rose Blanc on the lid from lashes to brow, Moonflower in the crease, Plumage in the outer V.

Hope that helps! I think it is a great color, one of my favs, but I use it very sparingly.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Thank you so much! Looking at previous eye combos I've done, I can see that possibly the colors didn't work. Also, since I've gotten older, my lids have developed a massive crease. I think I overcompensate on any color that I put in the crease because I feel you can't see it. Then it becomes an overwhelming color and when I try to blend it all turns muddy. I will try the above combos though. Thanks!!

I wasn't trying to be rude, I promise. I just feel it didn't work for me.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

If anyone has Base Light paint and Warm Chill, can they swatch WC over Base Light? Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but since we're all thinking of bases for Warm Chill, this one just popped into my head. But I don't own Base Light and may add it to my list for my order on Monday!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

hey SMMY! you mentioned what I was totally thinking!! I started with Bare Pink a couple weeks ago of the Shisheido hydropowers and fell in love with the shimmer/shine. it had creased on me the first day (but it was hot and whatnot so I tried something the next time). I used a thin layer of UDPP first, then shisheido....<3! I went and got two more, the white one and one called Lemon Sugar.

Definitely tempted to crack open that white one and try and kick up Gulf Stream, Moodring, whatever up a notch!!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Went to MAC today to check it out in person. I bolded whatever I got.

Solar White
: Gorgeous gold, it looks whitish pink in the pot, but is a gorgeous light white frosty gold on the skin!

Warm Chill: SO PRETTY! The seafoam green with gold sparkles I imagined! It's not as opaque as Mood Ring from the Heatherette trio and does take a few swipes to show up, but it is very pretty nontheless and I can't wait to use it! It's so pretty and frosty and just ugh, will look so pretty with Solar White!

Cool Heat: Wish I did NOT get this. I saw the texture in the store and I'm very disappointed. It's EXACTLY like Big T, except under a different name. I brought Big T just to swatch. And I have to say, that I'm going to return this. I love the color personally, but it's so chalky, that Big T is enough for me. If you like the color and don't have Big T and wish you had got it despite the texture, get it then!

Gulf Stream: Almost exactly like Waternymph. So I skipped on it. But it is SO pigmented like Waternymph, but less shimmery and pretty in my opinion. So if you don't have Waternymph, GET IT! It's beautiful! But if you have Waternymph, by all means, skip this one.

Climate Blue: I'm glad I didn't skip this one. I bought this one today separate from my online haul. It's a gorgeous color! And I swatched Parfait Amour next to it and it looks like such a pretty combo! I will definitely be using this with Parfait Amour and Black Tied for a night out! Beautiful color. It's velvet, but a nice one like Black Tied. A perfect indigo purple color and I can see the pink sparkles, subtle, but very pretty! I may be able to skip the indigo coming out with Starflash now! I have not seen a color like this, so show this color some love!
smiles.gif

Blue Flame: Did not get this one, but it is very metallic. Not as pigmented as Gulf Stream, but not that terrible in texture as Cool Heat, in between. I didn't swatch this with Deep Truth because I didn't want either color, but yeah, texture leaves some to be desired even if the color is pretty.

Gentle Simmer: This will NOT show up on me when I swatched it on my skin, so I didn't swatch the other ones.

So I really really love this collection!
Give Climate Blue a chance!
smiles.gif

And skip Cool Heat if you have Big T like me. It was such a mistake to order it.
ssad.gif
I'm returning it.

Good bases to use:
Rollickin' Paint Pot
Sea Me Shadestick
Possibly Greenstroke Paint Pot or Moss Scape (I don't have either).

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Well after doing a look today with Cool Heat...I actually feel better about having bought it. Yes, I was dumb and bought without swatching it. I did Solar White from lash to brow, then Cool Heat as outer crease and outer lid, Aquadisiac as middle lid, Moon's Reflection as inner lid, Cool Heat as lower liner, and Mutiny in the crease. I got a lot of compliments on it today from my clients. Cool Heat makes an amazing liner. I will definitely be getting backups of both colours because I know I will positively abuse Solar White and Cool Heat this summer. I stayed away from the counter today because I could end up with everything and my wallet doesn't allow for that right now.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Okay so I went back to the counter today and took my CH depots for B2M and I thought I was going to get High 90s but I didn't. I figured that I already have Electro and I can sheer it out and it would end up looking like High 90s anyway. So I decided against it. But something else caught my eye.

Sunsonic from NSF. Omg girls this lippie is soooo gorgeous! I didn't think it would look good. I thought it would be just as bad on me like Fleshpot was from Heatherette but its nothing like it! It doesn't make me look like a corpse at all. In fact, it gives me this gold shimmer on my lips. I bet it would look hot with Bonus Beat l/g on top or Hush Hush tendertone on top!! *drool*

So no other slimshines other than Tropic Glow *gorgeous* which I B2M yday with my CH haul.

I also bought Angel l/s b/c I heard raves about it and I had to get it.

Since Palatial l/g is d'cont.
ssad.gif
I wanted something close to it to top off Tropic Glow slimshine and Full For You plushglass caught my eye. This is such a pretty pinky color and it looks great over Tropic Glow. It also adds that extra pucker on your lips b/c of the warmth

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Y'All are bad influences. I was prepared to skip this collection.

My haul:
Solar white - gorgeous
Warm Chill - so pretty
Gulf Stream - first ever teal
Rollicking PP - perfect base now even so fresh shows up
Antiqued
Bronze
concealer brush

I tried everything out and loved it. Will play some more tomorrow.

Hahah, I feel you GlamYOURus. I picked up Lyechee Luxe to be my lippie with Cool Heat stuff because I didn't want any of the slimshines.

I’m trying to decide between Tropic Glow and By Degrees, I’m NC30 so what do you ladies think I should get?? (I’m going to stick to your recommendation because I don’t have access to a MAC Store for some time now), after that i also want to try my first Tendertone.
Yep trying to find a good use for the 15%

I'm NC30 as well! Judging by what I remember of the colors, I'd say Tropic Glow. Our skin tone can really pull off the bright pinks. And I'm personally not a fan of brown pinks.

That is exactly where I use Plumage: In the outer V!

My shades for the outer V or as a liner:
Plumage, Espresso or Carbon.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I visited my MA today to pre-order all five blue-green e/s from Cool Heat!

There has been a new MA who will work at this counter now as well.

My MA introduced me to her and asked me: "You want them all? All five? LOL"

And to the new MA: "Susanne owns every teal, blue-green and turquoise eyeshadow you can get from MAC."

Yep! And soon five more!!
