MAC - Love that Look Discussion

This collection is going to be a total pass for me. I already have smoke and diamonds, dreammaker, bitter and the NARS rated r duo, crystal avalanche, satellite dreams, tilt. Everything else is a colour i rarely wear (green/blues). I'm really feeling the need to clamp down on spending on cosmetics and use what I've already got, which is a lot. Something has to really wow me to pick it up at this juncture and I'm just not feeling any of the fall collections.

I just played with the shadows I got and I really like them! I did a more simple look with Fashion Groupie and Smoke & Diamonds. Shale e/s on the inner third, Fashion Groupie in the middle and Smoke & Diamonds in the crease.
Can't wait to try One-Off tomorrow!

Yeah I am going to seriously try not to get anything else until the MES' from Style Black....This will be my test ..I need nothing else...Nothing! I mean unless I run out of basics I need to really use up what I have..I have informed my lover (not you Allison) that he is not to buy me anything makeup wise until September.....They better not release early for F*s sake..I will live and love thru you guys

OMG, so I had had serious haulage in the past few weeks, culminating in tonight's haul of Love that Look. Tonight I got:
Grand Entrance
Style Snob
One Off
Strike a Pose
Smoke & Diamonds
Plus a few staples that I was out of (Blacktrack fluidline and brow set)
Somehow a new 266 brush snuck its way into my bag too.
Phew, my wallet is crying at the moment, but I have to say sitting here surrounded by pretties has me grinning from ear to ear.
I decided to play around with the new loot and smoke and diamonds might be the very first item I have ever felt compelled to get a backup of. Sigh, so pretty! I did One off on the lid, S&D in the crease, plus a little bit of dark green in the outer V (can't remember the name)....lovely!
Please MAC, give my wallet a break for a few weeks!

I ordered 3 of the pearlgliders last night (rave, fly by blu, and black russian). I usually preorder at nordstroms but didnt do it this time. Now im new to mac so i didnt know anything about these except their eyeliners. I went to my macys today and swatched it now i ordered 2 more black russians. They are so nice and go on so easily.

They are similar, which is honestly why I picked it up because I was so close to getting a backup of Silverthorn. Obviously the finish is different and Fashion has a cool multi-dimensional pearl thing going on. Again though, how is that going to translate to a noticeable difference on your eye? I don't know.
ETA: Silverthorn also has that gold sheen. With Fashion it's more of the multi-dimensional pearl that I mentioned.

-Unbasic White
-One Off
-Style Snob
-Ego
-Rated R
...so in a nutshell, way more than I initially planned!!
I'm mostly excited about the Starflash formula though, because even though I have plenty of lime greens, I think Rated R is gonna be beautiful on.
I already have S&D, and can you believe I hardly touch it?! It looks funny on my skintone for some reason. Just doesn't bode well with me. Plus I have Sweet Sienna p/g so if I ever want more S&D I think it will suit me just as well.
Anyways I can't wait for these to arrive so I can play with them! I love eyeshadows.

Are Sweet Sienna and S&D close? I don't have S&D so I can't compare but I'd love to know how close they are. I have Stila Diamond Lil' which is apparently an exact dupe so I never got it, but that little makeup addict voice in my head keeps whispering that I may need to get it...

Yep these damn enablers here. know what you mean. Ya'll got me wanting Fashion and Unbasic White and I was going tomorrow and B2M for Style Snob and Ego anyway. I guess I may as well take enough empties for 4, since that's all they'll let me do at one time. And I need to save some of my empties for fall.

-Dream Maker (the texture is better than you ladies had put it btw)
-Smoke and Diamonds
-Cheeky Bronze
-Rave
-Black Russian
If there are anymore Raves and Black Russians at the store next week, I'll be picking up one more of each.

Rated "R" (2) (Gorgeous color and so unique)
Strike A Pose ( I liked this because its a unique turquoise)
Unbasic White (Unique and perfect for the inner corner of the eye and modifying other colors)
Black Russian
Molasses (2) Perfect for everyday
Just a Smidge Suntint (2) (Love the hint of gold for Summer)
Studio Moisture Tint (This is nice, but I'm more in love with Rock Republic Tinted Moisturisers, because they give a subtle glow.
Now bring on Makeup Arts Cosmetics Collection!

Oh sweetie I'm so sorry this happened to you. People can be so awful sometimes and our pets are our babies and family members. I completely believe in Karma, so whoever did this won't get away with it. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers and hope that your baby comes home soon.

Yea, they are pretty close, or as close as you can get in MAC, anyways.
