Thanks for all the responses ladies! I've been using my 242 to apply them over a base so I might try my concealer brush next, or a smaller brush.

The colours are amazing and so smooth... And I usually prefer more matte shadows!

Meep! I caved last night and ordered Top Hat and Mink and Sable. I almost ordered Glamour Check, but wasn't sure about the color. I already have Coco Beach and was wondering if it is close to that color?

Yes, they are VERY similar. Last night I was thinking about getting a backup of glamour check but first I decided to go through my pigments & compare & it is amazingly similar to coco beach, chocolate brown & copperbeam. I wound up deciding that I definitely did not need a backup since I have so many similar pigments

Sunset B. looks great with a lot of different things - I tend to use it mostly as an inner/center lid color, though I have also used it in the crease. I'm NW25 with hazel eyes. I really like it over Perky p/p, and from there the sky's the limit. I've combined it with Sienna p/g, also with Haux in the crease. It looks awesome with S&D and Glamour Check. Today I used it with Go in the crease, Moon's Reflection on the center lid, Sunset B. on inner, and Lotus Land just above the crease (with Grand Entrance on brow and to blend the others). It sounds a bit 'technicolor', but it really wasn't at all. I also love Sunset B. with Cranberry or Magnetic Fields, or any cooler brown tone (I particularly like Charcoal Brown, French Grey and Saturnal). It's by far my favorite color of this collection. Hepcat is also VERY pretty for a more monochromatic look. Sorry to be long-winded about it - I have just tried so many different looks with Sunset B.!

I don't have the Moon's Reflection but i LOVE Sunset B next to Lotus Land, soooo pretty. And I think the purples would just hilight the beauty of your green eyes. :-D

My FIRST look out of my starflash shadows was to put Lotus Land over the entire lid, then add Top Hat to the crease, put Sunset B over top in the inner corner, and use Grand enterance above the crease as a higlight shadow blended towards the sunset B...Really it looked great, so anything like that. If you have some purples or peaches, I would definately try swatching them together on your hand to see if its what You would like since colors are a personal taste thing. I think you'd look gorgeous with it paired with a purple or a peach though,

I will have to try some out. I don't have all the colors suggested, but I'm sure I have something close. Thanks for the ideas!

I had a little bit of fallout, but it was all good in the end...I packed it on with the ELF e.s brush.

does anyone know a good non pink base that sunset b will look good over?? i will be trying it over my painterly paint pot and beige-ing shadestick as well as base lights paint. Any ideas though?? I need to get a pink base. lol. Im sure canton candy paint will work good so i will need to run out to the CCO because they have crimsonaire and blurberry SS too which i think would serve as good bases but i want something that wont over power the pink and i think those two might. I guess pink couture SS would work good as well...

i think i just answered my own question. haha!!

FYI: I don't know if they still have a good selection, but my CCO also had the Estee Lauder shadestick type products on the counter when I was in there last. They had a bunch of different colors, though nothing as vivid as some of the MAC colors. They even had a gray that reminded me of Sharkskin. You might find a similar color to gracious me in those if you don't already have gracious me. I think they were a little more expensive than shadesticks, but still less than retail. HTH
/end of Starflash hijack.

ETA: here is a link for the product.

I have wore it with thi combo Barbie Whistle, Shadowlady, Creme De Violet, Parfait Amour, and Beautymarked
And used it at the lid. I have also used lotusland too instead of Sunset B
I have also paired it with Lotus land with Whistle an a few other purples. There is so much you can do with it.I always use a paint pot underneath it too. Have fun

I'm going to try Sunset B. with Lotusland and Top Hat one day. I'm so excited!

I'm thinking that Lotusland is going to look gorgeous over Canton Candy paint as well.

But I STILL need to pick up Flammable, I think Sunset B. will look fantastic over that as well for some reason.

If you're still interested, Sunset B. looks awesome over Blackground p/p or Strut from Benefit.....it's also quite pretty over Cash Flow believe it or not. And I LOVE it over Constructivist!!!
