I'm really impressed with the staying power these have. I always use UDPP & Fawtastic CCB... But these will last longer than my reg eye shadows. I love these!! I wish more colors were made in this finish. I'm not having any fall-out or creasing like other people have mentioned. I just love them!

I posted swatches in the swatch thread. I bought Bold & Brazen, Sunset B and Smoke & Diamonds. I also compared BB with Expensive Pink in the swatch. BB is more pink and less shiny, while EP is more orange and shimmery. For those who find EP too orangey, BB is a better option. If they are nice, I may go back for Glamour Check and Mink & Sable.

Starflash (together with New View) finally launched here yesterday. I went to two MAC outlets, within 1.5 km apart from each other, to look at them. I was shocked to find the texture of all the e/s in the first outlet to be very chalky! I thought that I'll have to skip the whole collection. However, the texture of the e/s in the second outlet was smooth and buttery for almost all the colours. Even though texture of some colours like Sunset B and Top Hat were not as smooth, they were way better than those in the first outlet. So it is true that some stocks of Starflash e/s are more chalky than the others, depending on location!

Has anyone noticed the Starflash eye shadows doesn't have the best staying power, I used Mac paint pot first before applying shadow. Is it just me?

I love this collections and the colors. Any suggestion would be helpful. Thanks

The only Starflash I own is Smoke & Diamonds.

Its staying power on my extremely oily eyelids is no better or worse than that of my other eyeshadows, most of which are MAC.
As long as I use Urban Decay's Primer Potion, topped with a light dusting of translucent powder, I can count on four to six hours of wear out of my eyeshadow, including Smoke & Diamonds.
Since I use Smoke & Diamonds in my crease, if I didn't use the primer + powder first, my creases would be slimey messes in half an hour flat.

These stay on me like nobody's business! I love, love, love 'em!!! I do use UDPP every single time I put eye make up on, so that might help? But, I have noticed that for sure, these stay on me longer than the norm....

Mine have disappeared on me too. I have Smoke & Diamonds, Sunset B and Bold & Brazen. Slightly disappionted with Starflash. I won't go back for Glamour Check and Mink & Sable. Maybe I'll get Tempting Quad instead. Waiting...

Wow, I'm really kinda shocked at the "disappearance" of these. I posted a recent FOTD wearing S&D and I took the pics after about 6 hours of wear. Maybe it is b/c I double up sometimes with the UDPP and paint pot? Also, I always dust my eyes with loose powder when I'm finished to set it. Maybe that would help?

Sooo I finally took my arse to see this yesterday. I was not impressed. I'm glad that I didn't buy Top Hat online before I was able to see it because there's nothing really special about that color. Its nice, but I can find a deep purple just about anywhere.

However S&D seems to be very popular as it was sold out. I'm very impressed with my self that I only bought one eyeshadow and one eye khol!

I was looking at the back of the e/s pots and realised that the regular pot has a net weight of 1.3g (0.04 US OZ), while the Starflash ones each has 1.5g (0.05 US OZ)!
amazed.gif

The pots look the same size and the diameter of the pans are also the same, 2.6cm from measurement. So I guess that the difference in weight is because more powder is pressed into the pan of Starflash e/s, which means also that the powder is much finer? If it's true, its pretty cool! More value for money for the Starflash e/s! Go take a look at the back of your pots...

Only my Illegal Cargo is 1.5g, the rest are 1.3g (the set of Neo Sci-fi e/s and Beautiful Iris and Shore Leave)... So some are 1.5g, some are 1.3g?
