Well, I said I only wanted Raven from this collection... but I am now the proud owner of Mink & Sable and Smoke & Diamonds as well. Sigh, I have no will power. At least I skipped Glamour Check (although I liked it a lot) since it was almost identical to Twinks on my hand. Bold and Brazen was nice but I am wondering if it's the same as NYX Fanta Pearl or Pink Bronze pigment, so I skipped that too.

yea i'm kind of sad too, this whole disappearing act thing is sad considering i bought like half the collection!

i use a patting motion with these shadows and they go on pretty vibrant, i did notice when i put smoke and diamonds in the crease area it didn't go as pigmented as i wanted it but that was beause i was doing swiping motions.

Maybe try patting them on?

Yeap I noticed this too. They seem a bit flaky as well. :\
I used my 239 and just patted it on my lids with a paintpot as a base. It helps a lot if you pack it on.

I like top hat, but I find it gets dull throughout the day.. it goes on vibrant and then its like "blah" a few hours later

i bought around 6 of these eyeshadows and i'm now thinking of getting top hat, should i or should i not? i've got fig1 and signed,sealed from matte2 collection..hmm decisions decisions!

Top Hat is definitely different from both of those, certainly not a matte finish and the purple is a different shade. Fig 1 is lighter and almost more of a red-purple, and Signed Sealed is a darker purple, blackened even. But, I believe you can get similar looks by using Fig 1 and Signed Sealed, so if you're looking for an excuse NOT to get it, there you go.

Maybe that's what I need, oily lids so that it will stay on! lol. Because apparently with my dry lids I am not getting much adhesiveness. I love these colors though, they're so pretty and the soft blending power of the eyeshadows makes them worth it!

Me too, I have dry lids but I always use a base. The Starflash e/s goes on vibrant so I apply lightly as I don't want to look too dramatic for work. But it fades and the colour don't look fresh and makes it looks like I apply the shadow haphazardly. I use base and my other shadows can stay for 12hrs. I will keep trying though.

I have found the same thing with Top Hat and Smoke and Diamonds

. Go, Glamour Check and Mink & Sable all stay on better for whatever reason.

is it true that top hat is a little chalky? and is sunset b. sheer..something that u have to layer on to show? or is it pigmented enough?

I personally think it would look fantastic with your skintone.

And the fact that you love teals, well, Top Hat would look great with those too.

IMO Top Hat isn't chalky and Sunset B. isn't sheer at all. It is the brightest pink I ever had (expect from Pigments)

I would totally get top hat if I were you.....besides smoke and diamonds its my favorite from the collection.....its a sultry deep purple....so hot!
