I too went to the viewing tonight

I was very impressed with the collection, I truly was.

The Magically Cool Liquid Powders have a nice texture. I picked up the colour Cajun.

I was very much impressed with the eyeshadows. Yes they are dupable but I was still very impressed.
I only got Vianglorious as I felt i didnt have that colour in my collection, or anything much like it.

The lipsticks and lipglosses were very nice. I only got one lipstick in Sinister.

I love love love this collection which pains me because I think I might go back for more! The blushes were very nice as well. If you have grease paint sticks already I would skip out on them.

I just remembered overhearing an mua telling some girls with my same coloring that they can pull of Toxic Tale with a dark brown liner like cork or 80%. I almost gagged. I hate that! A stunning color completely changed by a liner. So you want a gorgeous, electric coral in the middle of my mouth and the outer portion of my mouth looking like I stuck my mouth in $--t? There are better liners for TT, if you even think you need one (which I don't think so).

Thanks, peachsuns. It's hard to choose a fave. I guess right now I love Strange Potion the most. It brightens my face and takes the least amount of work.

I think you can, absolutely! Like I said in a previous post, there were plenty of Mac employees, of all different races and complexions and a lot of them were wearing Toxic Tale. I was surprised to find that it doesn't apply full on electric coral. You can build it. It's certainly bright, but it doesn't have to be so full on if you don't want it to be. That surprised me b/c Satin formula's have not been kind to me. At least try it. If it fails, return it or sell it. Don't let it pass you by, though.

Hey everyone!

I just got back from the preview event! Unfortunately, I too have a broken camera and am going to wait for the new Nikon to come out the end of this month.

I actually came back with nothing! Can you believe that? Not because I didn't want to buy anything but because stuff was sold out and then I couldn't stay much longer after the mall closed due to people waiting at home for me. Boo.

Anyway! I had fun looking at all the stuff though! It was super crowded so I didn't get to see much up close. I did get to see this stuff:

- Absolutely love Formidable. Like Mean and Green and Bad Fairy too. I know people are saying Formidable and M&G have dupes in Orly, but from what I've seen in the pix, the Orly doesn't seem to be as duo chrome. Can anyone that went to the event and has the Orly comment on this? All the nail polish was sold out by my 8:30 time.

- French Quarter was pretty. Seems functional but I didn't like the smooshiness of the GPS. If you like these, I think French Quarter would be a good addition to your collection.

- Briar Rose is pigmented. I think it can be a blush for anyone NC45 and lower.

- Bite of Apple is really pretty! What a bold and girly fun color. Looked really similar to Joyous, just more bold and pinker.

- De-vil e/s is really really close to Coppering. I swatched them side by side and De-vil is a hair darker. Unfortunately, I like the De-vil better, even though I have Coppering.

- I was super excited for Dark Deed because on Temptalia's site, it looks so blook red on her. When I tried it on, it was pretty much a purple. Not that it's not a bad color, but not what I was wanting. So, I am going to pass on that.

- Strange Potion l/g is really pretty. It has a weird thing with it that in the light and angles of light, it looks like it has a fleeting light sheen on it. I like it alot. It kinda reminds me of Queen Bee though. Can anyone comment?

- Wicked Ways l/g is very pretty too. Totally worth it if you can rock it.

- They were sold out of Toxic Tale, so I didn't even get to see it. Sad!

- Vile Violet was very pretty, probably great for a smokey eye. I'm not too big on the matte texture but I think girls who like matte would love this.

- Vainglorious was okay. Texture seems hard to get good payoff for a frost though.

I didn't get to see anything else. Girls had products everywhere and I couldn't even stand in front of the display. I had to ask people if they could had me stuff.

So, basically, I'll be waiting until launch day with everyone else. =)

I went to the unveiling at Square One and got there around 6:45/50pm. There was already a line formed from a black roped line. I could see all the MA's inside the store before letting everyone in, getting all settled and taking pics, including a group pic...so cute!

They all looked excited and happy

. They only let a few people in at a time, maybe a few minutes apart, to help not make it so congested. While in line, several people would come up to the MA at the line asking what was going on

. There was a guard at the door and two mall security guards walking by MAC and through the mall.

At the door they asked for my ID and gave me a two-sided card with the list of products. While it wasn't as hectic as I thought it would be, it was still much too tight to move around and to see the products. I had to send my arm like a crane through the customers in order to pick up the products

. Because it was so crowded and tight, I forgot to just play with some items even though I didn't plan on getting them, like the liquid powders

.

Oh So Fair bp: such a pretty not-too-pale pink! I can't wait to wear this one

The packaging is just a bonus!

Strange Potion l/g: when I swatched this in store, it did not fascinate me...but from the swatches it was my favorite thing! So something told me to just get it, it may be different on the lips. And boy is it! I tried it at home and it is soooo gorgeous!! Love the pearl in it

French Quarter gps: I came there with Dirty GPS swatched on my hand so I can look at the differences side by side. Part of me got it because it's a GPS but at the same time it's a very versatile colour! I also love that Dirty is like the lighter taupe & FQ is the darker taupe. I can use whichever I might need, or even both! (lid=Dirty, outer v=FQ + eyeshadows...just an idea).

Bite of an Apple: only got this as a CP, but looking at it--it looks like such a pretty coral! Similar in colour to Strange Potion l/g (out of the tube, on brush).

what I didn't get but swatched: well, not much...I was getting too hot!

Vile Violet: it didn't wow me as a must have but I still thought it was pretty! (aka purple lover). I bet if I could actually use it I'd feel I needed it! I wiped my swatched finger on the product list and I see now that it's really pretty

ugh. But I can't...CAN'T! lol.

Her Alter Image: just wanted to see. A nice pale lavender but I can get Beautiful Iris down the road.

Then I decided I was done and had to get out "/ I was supposed to meet someone there but they couldn't make it. Maybe then I would have stayed longer, have a drink and even gotten my picture taken

But I had people waiting for me elsewhere in the end. I went to the counter to get my goodies and behind the register they had many boxes of VV stuff! They were well prepared.
