Formidable vs. Galaxy Girl (Orly): I had my nails done with Galaxy Girl and had the bottle with me when I saw the collection. Holding the bottle side to side they are exactly the same - for a second it seemed like maybe the shimmer chunks in Formidable were a bit larger, but I stared hard at them and yup, trick of the light - they're exact dupes. There must be one chemical company that makes the pigment for these polishes and they just sold to both companies.

Galaxy Girl is for sure a duochrome, but it's interesting because the shimmer is milled in a new way so it's not so overtly frosty as duochromes of the past. Depending on the light and the angle you'll see anything from gunmetal, to the teal, to a fuchsia highlight. (I couldn't get my hands on Space Cadet, so it's going to be Mean & Green for me.)

Dark Deed for sure is the sort of color that is going to look really different on different people. Not quite one of those "mood ring" colors, but close, since it's a complex color, not a straight red, brown, plum, wine or burgundy; and it's somewhat blackened and greyed too!

I took tons of pics at the party and will post them + review + photos of things I got tomorow on my blog as I am just soooo tired right now. I am even too tired to read other peoples after-party posts.

Let me just say that the stand-outs to me from this collection are:

Nail-polishes- freaking gorgeous all 3 of them

Magical cooling powder- Truth & Light reminded me of shell pearl on my hand. It has different colored shimmer. Very pretty and super cool to touch. It does feel magical. My brush feels wet.

MES She Who Dares- Much smoother then the style black ones!! Best MES quality I ever tried! A must-have in my opinion. The blue side isn't just blue, it's like a purply blue and I especially love the green and the blue mixed together.

Me too! I decided just to look on evil-bay to see if anything was there, and there's a seller with 19!!! items up there!! You can tell it's the same seller because all the items have the same background. When you click on an item, some of the items say "3 avail" WTH?? That means a store sold them all that stuff?? I'm disgusted.
I know is been said before, but, there should be a way to put limits....

That's just wrong!! considering some of us who really want to use the products but doesn't have the chance to buy them since they're all sold out..

I'm so confused about My Dark Magic. Karla wasn't excited about the new MES and said "Maleficent’s MES duos are more like the old mineralize eyeshadows. Without some kind of base or fixing agent, they don’t pack much of a punch." but on that vid the finger swatch she did looked quite pigmented. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Sad thing is, people have already bought those items.

I put both MES on my lid dry and they were very pigmented. They are very smooth as well. I didn't get much fallout because I tapped the brush on the edge. I think anyone interested should get them if they don't have blue flame or young punk or wants she who dares for the green. can't go wrong if these colors are your thing.

damn shame. i see this as MAC getting their money and that's it. If they were concerned, they would enforce limits more I feel. Then on the other hand, whose to say these people selling don't have other people buying things for them so they can get multiple items. or going to multiple mac stores, etc. they are finding ways to beat the system. bad for people that want to enjoy the makeup for their personal uses. personal uses including freelance MUA who have businesses.

girl, you are OWNING Dark Deed! looks nice! your hair is beautiful.

I seriously love revenge is sweet. A no brainer for wearing all these dark eyes I have planned out for fall.

BoA blush is every. single. thing. I can't not rave about it enough, especially on WOC. Its is pigmented just right. None of those other coral type blushes ever showed up on me. I am trying so hard not to pick up a backup next week. I don't back up blushes, but this one is the money.
