Yeah, Fig. 1 does seem a little darker. I know VV is more of a bluish purple, but for the life of me I can't remember what it looked like when I swatched it. Hmm...decisions, decisions...

Oh yeah, same here! I'm adding, cutting, switching and end up with the same list I had in the first place. And start again... MAC really needs to launch this collection asap or I'll go crazy

I love Nubar Nu-Nails strengthener, it transformed my nails last fall after I had pretty much destroyed them while helping my parents renovating their house. I followed the instructions: re-apply daily for a week and after that every 3rd day or just use it as a base coat.

I just swatched my Hipster to double check and from what I remember, no it's not close to DD. It's more of a frostier burgundy color. It's not as rich/dark as DD in my opinion. I hope that makes sense? I'd say Christine's description on Temptalia is a pretty accurate one- Dark Deed is a darkened blood red with blackish-brown with an amplified finish.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention the closest dupe I know of is Media.

I just want to put this out there for you ladies. I am a Nail Tech and you would be surprised about what is actually on your nail bed and under your nails. Did you know that you can get herpes on your fingers? Gross right. Never use testers on yourself. It's not worth it.

that is gross. I like to test the colors on my nails just to see how they would look like but noooow....

and someone said that they actually saw someone use the tester to paint their toes?!?!

I would've told the chick that that was highly unsanitary and disgusting. It's amazing....the lack of home training and common sense some people have these days. Oh and the MA should have made her buy that bottle of polish.

Strange Potion is definitely in the coral family whereas Queen Bee is in a goldish/nude-peachy family. HTH!

From the pics, it would seem that VV is a cool purple whereas Fig. 1 (a fave of mine) is warm.

I called my MA yesterday so I could tell her to add SWD to my other goodies but they told me she wasn't there but they would tell her I called. I called today again and they told me she was out for the weekend. I'm so scared SWD will be sold out when I call her! D:
I'm contemplating buying it online... but I'll call on Monday once more (gosh, I feel like such a pesk -_-) and if she's not there, then I'll hope for the best and (try to lol) order SWD online. Sighhhh.

Actually, what I'm saying is that neither MAC nor ORLY thought up the polishes.

Because the products are exactly the same, I don't think either company formulated them. I think it was done by an outside lab/company that then sold the polishes to MAC and ORLY, and they both then put them in their respective nail polish packaging.

The same thing happened with those eyeliners, which are exactly the down to the packaging. Those clearly weren't developed internally by MAC. I just find it interesting -- I tend to assume that each company comes up with its own formulations internally, but that doesn't seem to the case for every product.

I feel like a pesk with all the times I've called, but in the end, you have to remember that you're giving them your money

I'm going to be calling to reserve more on Tuesday and hoping that it isn't all sold out.

There's no such thing as a stupid question.

As far as we know, it's only for the online release. The counter release will be on the 30th.

Online releases are usually a few days prior to the store ones.

I'm such an anxious freak and it just sometimes gets the best of me.

So after SWD, I will be buying nothing else! -slaps my wrist- This is my biggest haul yet and I need to plan accordingly for TT when Erin gives us the update.

I reallyyyy hope they make the MCLP permanent! I'd really like to try it... but without Dr. Facilier on the top, he kind of freaks me out.
