now that the initial excitement has worn off, i have to say i'm a little disappointed with this one. they could have done something spectacular and it's not. i'm not saying it sucks because i'll be getting plenty from it, but untill i see swatches, there's nothing that really stands out for me

The packaging looks like something that belongs in the actual Disney store. Granted people who walk by will a MAC counter will see that its Disney but its rather... child-like? I mean you'd think they would spice up the character's imagine to fit MAC's imagine. Like for when Hello Kitty's color scheme was changed. Change Cruella's coat or something, yeesh!

But regardless, it'll be a fun collection. Hopefully I start work at MAC before it drops.

I am really interested to see what to magically cool liquid powder is like

Call me girly but I think it would be more exiciting-me me atleast- if they did princesses aswell...it could be a spring summer collection ...as long asthe packaging didn't look like childrens play make-up (which it could with princesses on it ) it would be super cool....an Alice in wonderland l/s <333

I know what you mean, nothing really seems like a must have, but swatches may change that

. I really, really want to love this collection, because I live and dream Disney! Hopefully the swatches are amazing

D....and the n.l sound cool, but I am not sure what they mean by other colour pigments in them...is like a sheen of another colour? we'll see...

I like the Cruella De Vil part the most out of the 4.
I'll probably only get Heartless Lipstick and Her Own Devices Beauty Powder. I'm glad though, cause Cruella is my absolute favourite! LOVE her

Anyone else notices that Bite of an Apple is different in both pics? Not just the blush color (could be the flash), but the queen's clothing are different.

I agree on the packaging; I kinda like it. I think I might have preferred something a little less childish (the initial images with the outlines were really neat), but I'm not too picky--as long as the pictures are NOT stickers, I will be happy.

After seeing the color story, I feel kinda underwhelmed by this collection.
The packaging could have been more interesting and I find the zoomed in heads on the eyeshadows ackward. I like the maleficent image on the mineralized shadows but I don't like MES. lol

I am really only interested in the beauty powders if they are shimmery like shell pearl and not like alpha girl texture and the magically cool liquid powder in "Truth and Light".

I am dissapointed that Queens Sin isn't in the collection and that Bite of an Apple blush is described as a coral pink matte. I wanted a true shimmery red blush that gave a very natural blushing cheeks. Oh well.

Oh so fair -mid-tone pink with gold pearl

Maleficent
Mineralize Eyeshadow
My Dark Magic- Deep pink with pink pearl/ Deep plum with purple pearl
She who Dares- Deep navy with blue pearl/ Deep forest green with lime pearl

Beauty Powder
Briar Rose- Soft violet pink with pearl

Nail Lacquer
Bad Fairy- Red with multichanging pigments
Mean & Green- Purple with teal pigment

I am going to try to limit myself to:
1 BP, 1 MES, 1 regular e/s, 1 nail polish...and 1 lipstick...if I don't get a lipstick maybe I will allow myself to get 2 nail polishes. That way I will have to pick a favorite SOMEHOW.

I was excited when this was first announced, but now??
I mean ... Sleeping Beauty has always been my fav Disney princess, so Maleficent having her own collection is AMAZING.

hmmm, when people first started speculating about this even being a collection i felt like why does anyone want that? then when it was confirmed it would be here, i became kind of interested, after all cruella and maleficent are classics.
the obvious omission of ursula octapus (purples galore) is unbelievable to me.
so much opportunity lost there.

i am a collector as well as an active user of mac makeup, so i'll be getting a thing or two but i really am so far underwhelmed by the products i see behind the cartoon covers. and if they are stickers i will totally pass.
and the frog dude can suck it.

Well as a lover of all things Disney (and having just come back from my 10th trip to a Disney resort!!! lol) I am super excited, even after seeing the packaging. I'm not feeling the heads on the e/s, that's kinda freaking me out, but I will have no qualms about rocking the compact with the Evil Queen on it or the MES with Maleficent.

It would have been cool to see Maleficent in her dragon form on one of the products, but we can't have everything...

You know who else would have been good for this collection...Madame Medusa from The Rescuers. She is so trashy and vampy. Love it.

Yes! The initial images were awesome, I thought it would look more along those lines.

Hmmmm, right now I'm interested in the MES, the polishes and maybe a beauty powder.
I don't like the packaging at all - right to the point that I doubt that I'll buy any l/s or l/g - everything else will be depotted. Although I agree with the poster who said that the Evil Queen has kind of a retro look and has some class because of it - I kind of like her compact as seen in the magazine.

I am too. Do we know if it is a compact or loose powder? If it's loose, I am not buying it (I hate loose powder!)
