I agree! I mean darn the only product names that have anything to do with him are Cajun and French Quarter! Is that the best they could come up with! I'm so disappointed. I live here in Louisiana and when I heard about them doing Dr. Facilier I was so excited to be able to buy stuff that had to do with my heritage. What a let down! It could have been so good.

Now the packaging is another let down as well. I agree with everyone else, so childish! I wish the image was a sticker so that I could take it off and give it to my 4 yr. old daughter. She would love it! So, I will probably buy a few of the e/s and depot them and that's it. I can't be for sure until I see swatches, but those blushes better be knock out gorgeous if I'm going to buy one.

This is what I would've done for Dr. Facilier
First of all, all of the products need to be highly pigmented. The majority of Cajun/Creole women are medium to dark toned. This is because we are mix heritage of French, African American, and or Spanish. Not to mention this Louisiana sun shine beating down on us. I'm on the light end of the Creole spectrum at NC30.

Lipsticks
Cajun Queen- bronze coral (think fresh salmon with bronze) (amp. cream) (I hate frost finish, but this would be a good one for that as well)
Hurricane's a comin'- mid tone purple with fuchsia pearl (lustre)

Mineralize Eyeshadow- (like the one's from Style Black)
Mardi Gras- vibrant purple w/ gold pearl
Swamp- deep dirty green/taupe w/ gold pearl
Bon Ton Roulette- Silver w/ fuchsia pearl (good times roll)
Pontchartrain- true teal green w/ silver pearl (2nd largest salt water lake in the US., after the Great Lakes in UT)

Grease Paint Sticks
Gris Gris- Gold w/gold pearl
Voodoo- black w/ iridescent pearl
Magnolia- creamy white w/ green pearl

Powder Blush
Otherside- firey orangy/red (sheertone shimmer) (similar to NARS Exhibit A)
Azalea- (bring the Pro one on over to freestanding/counters)

LOL- That was fun!!

No need to apologise, your collection would have rocked. I was actually really hoping for some type of white gps with this collection.

On a side note (and I know that I should prob'ly have this in The Chopping Block) the MUA at my PRO store told me Azalea was being discontinued.

That sounds so off to me when I read the description

"soft coral pink (Matte)"

MAC's descriptions are probably the main reason why most of my lists shrink from when the info is released to after I see actual pictures or swatches

I'm hoping this packaging will grow on me like the To The Beach packaging. The first time I saw pictures of TTB, I thought it was pretty ugly. Now I don't mind it so much.

This collection will sell like hotcakes, though. The new Mac collection frenzy+Disney+omg will someone buy this before I get a chance to decide mania will mean this stuff flies. I refuse to buy into it. I am only getting a couple of items. This blows.

I completely agree, MAC should have worked with the colours of the villians..I feels like they didn't even really try. They could have done super unique duo-chromes and glitter and have amazing dark intersting colours. I understand that they need to tame colours to make it universial sellable, but the still could have had some crazy products...I know we'd buy it lol.

Some of the stuff still sounds really cool though...just not disney. The stuff will sell like crazy..but I am hoping to pick up some stuf at Mac warehouse sells...they had Hello Kitty and Heatherette (best collection ever!)so I assume some Disney stuff will end up there.

I find it so awkward that there is only 1 lipgelee in this entire collection. Like, imagine it on the display ..

I've stopped blaming mac, my best guess is that Disney is holding them by the balls and they did the best they could under the circumstances.

I would so buy that! I actually think Dr. Facilier had pretty much the best collection, but that is more telling about the other collections than his.

Seriously, MAC should give us little cards to fill out when we make our purchases, asking us what we would like to see in upcoming collections, or an on-line questionnaire, or heck just come on here and take a look around.

MAC...Dr. Facilier collection, bad. VV packaging, bad. Increasing pigment prices and lowering size, bad. Changing Stereo Rose, very bad! Look out for what they do next.

Yeah I didn't get that one, so this probably more exciting for me. But, multicolored pearl?
