Given the texture and brightness of these could they be used for liners? And if so would you suggest doing anything different other than the usual with like f/l? I've got to have that green if only to look at it.

I personally think that they will not work as liners - I was chatting to the manager at my store today about them and she warned me that these are meant to crease (even with a base) - it's supposed to give you the "creased look" lol, if that makes sense - otherwise she told me that if I don't like creasing then I probably won't like them - or only will be able to use the lighter ones as a brow/cheekbone highlighter....now I'm kind of sad, they look gorgeous!

I don't get that -- who would intentionally want a creased look?

That's exactly what I asked the MA! But she said the look is a metalic creasy/foily look...hmm

I cannot even begin to fathom why a company would create creasing eye shadow; its not attractive (in my personal opinion) and looks absolutely terrible. I was really looking foward to this collection, but upon hearing that not even a base will prevent creasing, I may have to reconsider purchasing these lovely cream shadows.

i saw these at the nyc pro store.. its my birthday weekend and im celebrating by seeing it! the girls that were working weren't very friendly which saddens me. but metal-x is definitely pretty. actually, it beautiful, totally vibrant =) i doubt mac made a product to crease, so we might want a second, third, and fourth opinion on that statement.

Man, I am so dissapointed that they crease badly. I really wanted the purple one. I wonder if I should even bother with it. At least I can still get the gold glitter liner.

That is so weird to make a creasing shadow. Isn't it a step backward? And I was really looking forward to adding these to my Wish List. But since I lately have been loving gold shadows, I might get Fusion Gold and Pure Ore and maybe 6th Sin for those moments when I do my wild makeup. Now those liners on the other hand....I never met any glitter I didn't like!

when I first saw these I wanted all of them.. and now as I'm hearing more and more about them I'm debating it and thinking maybe there is something alot better out there for me because.. I really don't like the idea of a shadow that will crease no matter what.. but I'll still have to check them out and play with them, but who knows it may wear differently on everybody and on that one MA it creased a lot. I'm just hoping they don't cause the colors are wonderful.. and if so.. well my money will just go else were for the time being.

They never are, it sucks. I'm always so excited to go there and they suck it right out of me =(
I only want Lime Dandy from this collection (And maybe Pewter Pink). The shadows are pretty but I don't need any help in the creasing department.

I wore Goldspice Metal-X the last two days in combo with bronze e/s and goldmine e/s and it seems to be wearing pretty well. Both sets of batteries for my digital camera are dead, so maybe Monday I'll try to wear one of this again and take a photo in the morning and another in the evening to share and compare.

I went to that pro store this past Saturday and the ladies were so helpful, I was surely expecting the opposite from what I've read here.

They talked me about how the shadows aren't crease resistant no matter what you use but if you're into color and textures, these would be fun.

She said they were meant to crease? That's odd... these shadows are awesome. They are creamy to the touch but when applied -- it dries immediately to a powder finish and when I played with them at update.. there was no creasing whatsoever. And I didn't even use a base. Sooo I'm not too sure what that manager was talking about :X
