They all look so pretty! How's the staying power for these? I have extremely oily lids, do they crease easily?

I can't wait to seem them all!

as previously posted, they are not crease-resistant.

Has anyone else noticed the 21st is a Wednesday? The collections always come out in stores on Thursdays (online Tuesdays)... is this an error or is something weird going on with release dates now?

there are two exceptions to the thursday in-store release, thanksgiving and christmas. collections come out the wednesday before thanksgiving (that way the collection is out for black friday), and the day after christmas (so the collection is out for that after-holiday crowds). this isn't a new thing.

Sorry, I'm in Canada and we had our Thanksgiving last month. So I forgot it was the US Thanksgiving that week. Simple mistake.

I hope so!! My MA showed me the update book a couple of weeks ago and there were actually looks drawn up for EVERY collection, but obviously they don't always release them on the site. I wish they would.

AGREED. I am such a huge fan of face charts and I don't understand why--if they're done--they don't just release them all! It's really odd. I mean, it's not like they take up room on the site. The Looks section is always so empty. Heh. I really hope they release the looks for Metal-X though; they'd be awesome. *crosses body parts*

they aren't done just for the public. they are also done for us artists to wear at the counter and promote the products. that way we can show the versatility of each product and different color combos. for some collections, we are given additional looks that aren't released online. our books have 8 looks, so we will so which ones, if any, they do put online.

the 202 and 242 are repromoted with this collection. the 202 because the sponge gives more opaque coverage and color payoff, and the 242 because it can sheer down this cream product.

How much are the cream shadows in Canadian dollars? 19.50? 20.00? I called MAC and they said it wasn't in their system yet. Bah.

Assuming the price system remains the same, I believe the cream eyeshadows would sell for CA$20.00.

When I went to buy my Curiositease and Beauty Powders today, my wonderful sales girls whipped out Virgin Silver, Pure Ore, Pink Ingot, Goldspice, Metalblu, and Plum Electric.

My comments on what I swatched:

Pure Ore: looks much like the photo above when on my skin but once applied, the olive undertone really came out.

Plum Electric: applied a dab on my hand and again, it looked much like the photo... but then I thinned it out a little on the edges and it faded to a smoky purple-gray. I thought it was very cool and could make for an interesting smoky eye all on it's own. This was one of the two I bought.

Goldspice: very rich coppery brown and had similar properties to the plum because when I started spreading out the edge of the swatch on my hand, it faded down beautifully into a sparkley gold. I also bought this one.

Pink Ingot: I swatched this last and it was pretty, but I was expecting more after seeing how neat Goldspice and Plum Electric were.

No idea why they didn't have the other three colors. All I can figure is because it's a Macy's counter, sometimes they get screwed with what actually shows up at the store. My particular counter never received copperized pigment from Rushmetal either. I plan on trying out the two I bought this weekend. Depending on how they apply/wear, it would be easy to go back and buy a few more colors. Regardless, I may go back on the 21st to see if another shipment straggles in and they manage to get the other three colors.

Got to check these out and play with these at the macpro store today with Cindy- she rocks! Also bumped into Syrene who is a sweetheart! As an fyi i did see a few pages of looks with this collection in the update book- the looks rock!! I hope they get released to the public.

On applying this product, I am definitely finding that the sponge is really the best way to get the true look and feel of the product. The texture on these are definitely unique. They are obviously a cream product- but they feel like a dry powder to the fingers.

I ended up getting the cyber, 6th sin, pure ore, and metalblu- they are all so gorgeous! Passed on the others because i felt 4 was enough! Pleasantly surprised by the unique look of the product. Word of caution- careful with applying these. a light swipe of brush on the product doesn't work, u have to lightly run the brush across several times to pick it up. Picking up too much also makes it crumble.

Staying power on these seem pretty good, at least on my hand they didnt crease and stayed put.

On the colors:
Metalblu is a gorgeous deep cobalt blue- this would make for a great pop of color on the lashline, same with the gorgeous 6th sin- a beautiful and more metallic emerald than jealous khol power.
Not one to leave out my gold and silver, i also picked up cyber and pure ore- both which looked rich in metallic goodness. Check out my swatches in the forum
