I bought 2 different formulas

1. 400 Caramel w/ SPF Normal/Dry
2. 400 Caramel Combo/Oily

they are strangely 2 different colors lol. but they both match my skin extremely well. weird. anyhoo, i put #1 on the left side of my face and #2 on the right side. I used a Body Shop foundation brush to apply them both, and they went on very smoothly, they felt nice and cool on my face, and they immediately blended right in. I couldn't even see it, to be honest with you. I did set both sides some BM Mineral Veil, but very very lightly.

I can kinda smell the SPF in #1, but i actually like the smell, its not extremely bothersome to me in any way.

You cannot tell which side is which, so far, so good. Although they're different formulas, so far (and its only been an hour--i'll report back later today lol) i'm loving the finish.

My favorite drugstore foundation to date has been the maybelline liquid dream mousse (my color is caramel dark 2), but if these maintain their staying power thru-out this hot ass day, then they may very well climb up into my heart as well, but again, i'm loving it so far. It's not heavy at all.

I noticed the same thing as far as the color difference between the two formulas...My friend said the same thing as well...I found the SPF scent was much stronger in the oily...not really noticeable at all in the normal dry ...My skin is so dry I did not even experiment with the oily.....But I really liked it a lot and it lasted all day until I took it off. I am gonna try it tomorrow with the transparent finishing powder to see how they work together.

How did the Mahogany work for you? I was going to suggest the Cappuccino when I saw your first post because I see you are NW45-50, NC50 and that's what I am and the Cappuccino works really well for me.

I think I already answered this...But I apply it with a wedge...then I smooth it out with my 187 brush ...same application as I used with SFF

Does anyone know which one is a bit darker than warm golden? Would it be Golden Carmel?

Re: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

^ Golden Caramel looks like the next one up with the same strong yellow undertones! This is just from looking at the bottles in store, mind you, but if you don't need the strong yellow undertones, maybe you could go with Natural Tan which is a tinge darker and with more neutral undertones.

ok, i wore this foundation ALL DAY. i did take a second shower around 4pm, and i did re-apply it. but even before that it lasted extremely well.

the second time, i poured a small amount on a CD and stippled it on with my 187 brush, and it looks absolutely flawless. I used a little mineral veil to set it, did the rest of my makeup and i looked fierced. i shoulda took pics. anyway, at the event i went to there were tons of people and it was really hot and humid, my bangs didnt survive, but my makeup did. i started sweating, and it did not budge!!

this foundation is a keeper. it didnt feel heavy and thick on my face in all that humidity, it wasnt dripping off my face, i'm super impressed!

It's from the brand Bare Minerals you can look it up on their website. It's basically a loose powder, very light weight and it is used to set the foundation.

Did you wear the oily or dry skin formula? I hope oily works well since SFF is giving me the blues. I'm going to try it out today.

Re: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

I gave my revlon another test drive yesterday and finally understand what all the hype is about.

Tips for people who did not like revlon:
-Don't use too much product because you really need very little to cover your entire face. Using more than just the right amount will make you look like you caked on your foundation.
-Use a good brush... I didn't like applying with my 187 because it just didn't give me the right coverage.
I recommend using a foundation brush like the one from essence of beauty [dual sided brush with foundation at one end and concealer at the other]. It's perfect for revlon colorstay. it also enables you to really buff the foundation onto your face.
-Buff Buff Buff, seriously buffing makes a huge difference.
The problem I had was that after initial application, the foundation will start to lift off of my face, making it look like I have a mask on. So the solution to that was buffing.

I hope this helped

Oh and for reference, I wear golden beige and I'm NC 30

I use the combo/oily one... haven't tried normal/dry so can't vouch for that one.

Re: Revlon Color Stay Foundation

I'm really interested in trying this foundation out now! I'm still hunting for something that really works for my skin. Does anyone have any color suggestions for me? I've been wearing Studio Sculpt in NC15. My skin is kind of dry now.....though I've never really had a problem with this much dry skin on my face before :-\
