WOC can be beautiful & curvalicious, but not white chicks

It's funny how no one really presses the racial stereotypes for men and their physical appearance the way people do with women.

Of course, one can be trim and healthy, but that's not what we are seeing. We are seeing rapid weight lost from beautiful ladies in an industry obsessed to point of distortion. (Remember, these ladies actually look thinner in person than on film) .

Exactly. Yes, there are really, really thin people in the world who are that way naturally. Sometimes they look sickly and can't help it, even if they scarf down five cheeseburgers. There are also people with really, really slow metabolisms that can eat 100% healthy and exercise constantly and still barely lose any weight. But the majority of us are neither of these extremes, no matter what Hollywood wants us to think, and the vast majority of the female population of Hollywood is neither of these extremes either; it's artificial, and in many cases very unhealthy.

And you know what? I could at least respect these celebrities if they freely admitted the lengths they go to to stay (unhealthily) skinny, and not long afterwards when it's considered chic to own up to your mistakes (because then you can't be arrested or lose your career, because you waited 'til you needed the PR boost anyway!), but as they do it; I'd still think it's ridiculous, but at least I could respect them for making a choice and taking responsibility for it. Janice Dickinson is a crazy bitch, but she owns up to every bit of plastic surgery she's ever had; I can respect a woman like that, who's not ashamed of her choices. But this coy "Oh gosh, no, I just diet and exercise! Tee hee!" or "Oh gosh, no, I eat all I want, I just never seem to gain weight! Tee hee!" dancing around the truth coming from celebrities disgusts me. It makes it hard for normal and fatter girls to be comfortable with their bodies, seeing all these women who just magically look thin with seemingly no effort whatsoever and wondering why they're not "normal" like the actresses, but it also makes it hard for those few naturally thin girls to feel good too, because the anorexics and bulimics running around outnumber them and make it hard for anyone to believe the thin girl is that way naturally, so THEY get to feel like freaks too. The only people who really win are the agents, the managers, and the media, and they sure aren't under any pressure to be skinny.

Unfortunately, I'm really unable to see anything good about my body. I have my brain programmed to find bones beautiful, therefore I find myself horribly unattractive. I really don't blame guys for not hitting on me, I wouldn't hit on myself if I was a guy either. But thank you for your kind words and your civil argument.

I'm sorry you don't see anything good about your body. I don't mean to sound callous, but have you tried anything to change it? I went up to a size 15 (180 pounds) before i did something about my weight. I decided to lose the weight though because i could tell my health was becoming at risk. It was a tough process but i lost it all. Low self esteem also comes from within, so try not to put yourself down, there are probably alot of guys out there that would find you attractive but are too shy to say anything or you aren't around them. I don't have guys hitting on me left and right either and my self esteem tends to go up and down depending on my moods. bones poking out is a difficult task to achieve. I weigh around 110 now and am 5'4". When I have a full length picture of myself taken I don't have bones poking out. There are a few people out there that just have genetics like that and the other few are probably ill or pressured to not eat. Sadly, according to the standards of the fashion industry I'm overweight and too short, which is totally ridiculous. It's one of those situations where there is no right answer.

Word. I have very rarely in my life ever noticed someone checking me out - a guy pretty much has to blatantly flirt with me for me to notice - but my friends, parents and boyfriend have all, on occasion, pointed guys out to me when we're out in public, and I only notice it once it's been noticed by someone else and shown to me. I never, ever realized how utterly oblivious I was to being checked out!

Her breasts look quite different. I don't know how old she was in the 'before' pic, but her breasts now have the "roundness" of implants. The older sister's boyfriend already outed her breasts on the show. Hell, just going by the looks of her mother (and Bruce), it's safe to assume there's a running tab at the Dr.'s office. The whole fam has been under the knife, except for the 2 little ones.

You can definitely tell her nose was done. Even in the blurry picture you can tell it was bigger, now its small and almost perfect and sculpted.
As for her breasts they are rounded almost all the way on the top, that must be the best pushup bra ever and in every one of her photos.
I'm actually on the fence about her butt though. The more I look at the old photo the more I think it could be heriditery as she looked more bottom heavy. Now she is even which leads me back to the breast implant thing.

I think both curvy women and flat women are attractive, no matter what ethnicity.

Stereotypes such as these always make me feel bad, because what about the white women that are curvy, or even the black women who aren't?

I agree with this whole promoting healthy lifestyles thing, but it needs to go both ways. I'm 5'10 and probably no heavier than 120, but I eat like a maniac. I'm 'top heavy' as my younger brother teases me, with the tiniest bottom ever. In junior high I'd get teased relentlessly about being so skinny and girls would start rumors about me having an eating disorder. I have never, ever in my life even considered starving myself and if anything, I'm a compulsive over eater! I don't think it's fair to judge skinny girls nor is it fair to judge 'curvy' girls or 'fat' girls.

The interesting thing is that most guys i know are ALL about the booty. I've always said that if I were ever to get plastic surgery, I'd totally get butt implants haha...

I'm not partial to curves or stick figures, I think confidence and loving yourself is the most attractive 'body type' of all! If a girl can just work who she is, I think that's gorgeous!

The problem with me being curvy(other than my breasts) is when I gain weight it does not go to my butt or desirable places. The fat evenly distributes itself all over and is very unnatractive for my body style. I just look bigger with a small head, lol.

I'm in the process of changing it.

This is the type of forum that makes me want to rant, and I thouroughly apologise if anything I say has already been covered or offends anyone that is purely not my intention!!

A few years ago, some smartmouthed little boy (he wasn't a man thats for sure) came up to me and came out with the most ludicrous line ever. He said 'If it wasn't for one thing you'd be really attractive. If you were black (Apologise if this offends anyone his words not mine!) you would be stunnning!'. Can you imagine how quick my jaw hit the floor? Now I will tell you why he said it. I am white, and an English size 16 - I am curvy. Some might call me fat. Why is it not okay for me to be like this unless I have a different skin colour?

I have been everything from a size 22 (Yup, 22, thats big) to a size 6. I am currently a size 16, and me and boyfriend are very happy. Sure I want to lose some weight, but for myself, for no-one else and not for anyone who thinks that I am wrong to be this curvy. I do not consider myself fat - I have a waist which is 10 inches smaller than my hips, I have 34GG breasts, I am naturally sexy. Why can't people accept that white girls can be bigger?

I only started buying MAC two months ago because up until then I thought I was too big to wear such a funky brand. I don't get it.

Sorry that this came out as more of a rant than anything, but as you have probably gathered, this issue cuts quite close to the bone!

Thanks for reading - any yell back would be appreiciated! ANd I have no idea what the relevant US sizes are, sorry :<.

US sizes are UK sizes minus 2, so 16 is a US 14, which is the beginning of the plus sizes.
